Oakwell was founded by Paul Oakley and Brian Welsh in June 1983 to provide a friendly local auto electrical service. The company quickly expanded to the needs of the local community and soon began offering a full range of garage services. After recently celebrating their 25th anniversary Oakwell continue to invest in the latest diagnostic technology and staff training for all makes of car and commercial vehicles. The garage was the first in the country to be presented with both the ISO 9002 quality control standard and the Investors In People award showing their commitment to the highest standard of customer care and service.
