I was so pleased to get this car, if only for its Unicorn rarity value.
Then i looked at the service record, which made me even happier...
absolutely full to the minute, we even serviced her again just because its, well, what we do. Recent new brakes all round and timing belt kit replaced at 67K.
Think Audi allroad 4 x 4 just in a slightly smaller VW golf estate package.
Brilliant.
Finished in brightest of bright red, with black 1/2 alcantara interior.
She is on site now, integrated sat nav, parking sensors, tidy 17 inch alloys not without the odd mark but 100k/10 years old.
Heres what wins it for me. And made me buy the car.
A service record that you could, er, eat your dinner off. You catch my drift she has a comprehensive history and the best bit, to make you smile, that is our prep work.
Same as all the VW based 4 x 4 stuff
Service the haldex 4 wheel drive diff
DSG oil change to keep that sweet auto box fresh
Serviced yet again,
Last done literally a few thousand ago at a local 4x4 specialist of great repute
The DSG automatic is arguably the best gearbox ever made for speed of change and seamless progression.
I grudgingly admit this as a BMW automatic driver. The Mercedes auto box is good also, and lets not forget the Volvo, but in my opinion the DSG is the winner. Its close mind, but there is only one Gold medal.
