I contacted the dealership on Monday to check if a car was available, and they confirmed it was. I asked if they could reserve it, but they said it required payment. I explained I work weekdays and would travel from Manchester on Saturday, and asked them to call me if another buyer showed interest so I could come immediately. I called again on Friday, confirmed the car was still available, and also made it clear that I would be coming the next day. On Saturday, I travelled over 25 miles to Congleton and arrived around 10:30am, only to be told the car had just been sold to someone who walked in. What’s disappointing is that I specifically asked to be contacted if the situation changed, but I received no call or message. A simple heads-up would have saved me a wasted trip.
