I bought a car from BJH Motors & Sons on 28 November 2025, and the experience has been nothing short of exhausting. Within days of collecting the vehicle, warning lights appeared, coolant was leaking, and parts were failing. By 17 December 2025, the engine was smoking and the car had to be returned. Across the 94 days between purchase and 1 March 2026, the car spent around 64 days with the dealer and only 30 days in my possession. Despite three separate “repairs”, the same faults reappeared almost immediately each time with steam from the engine, drivetrain warnings, coolant puddles, and overheating alerts. Communication was consistently poor. Between 19–30 January 2026, I repeatedly asked for updates that were promised but never provided. Even after major work was supposedly done (new gasket, manifold levelling), the car failed again within 5 days of the second collection on 25 February 2026. When the vehicle broke down yet again on 1 March 2026, BJH Motors refused to assist in transporting it back to their premises, despite the ongoing issues and the fact that the car had already spent most of its time with them. They have not offered an apology, any acknowledgement of the inconvenience, or even basic courtesy. This has been one of the most frustrating and disappointing experiences I’ve ever had with a business. Based on the repeated faults, long delays, lack of communication, and refusal to help when the car failed again, I cannot recommend BJH Motors & Sons to anyone. This matter was only resolved fully last week. I've since November last year I've been inconvenienced by this business's poor quality products and customer care. If you still decide to purchase a vehicle from them after reading all the reviews, you unfortunately only have yourself to blame.

As you can see above and below my review. I'm at a loss for words at how deceitful this company is. Long story, short! I've finally recieved all my money back plus court costs. Avoid at all costs, it will be less stressful walking to where you need to go rather than getting a car from these guys.

*AVOID* if you dont want to get robbed by these VILLANS. Ever so nice up to the point of sale, after that couldnt care what problems you have. I have had several problems since brought a car from these CON-MEN. 3 times in 4 months its been in and out of garages with different things wrong with it. First the drive belt went followed by the suspension collapsing whilst driving and after having just passed its MOT by BJH Motors. This should have and would have been picked up on inspection and should have FAILED however they put it through which led to further problems down the line (have reported it). After emailing Roger about the problems i was having i had no response so i decided to phone in and i was talked to like a piece of dirt and told he knew nothing about the problems i was getting even though my emails proved otherwise. Soon as i mentioned it shouldnt have gone through the MOT, he changed his tone and said it was a human error. After this issue was fixed there was still an ongoing problem with the steering rack (again should have and would have failed its MOT) however these decided to let it slip and sell it anyway before carrying out any work. This cost £1300 to be fixed. After speaking with warranties2000 they adviced i go back to the dealer BJH MOTORS and express the more recent concerns ive been having. I spoke with Roger and told him what was going on his response was, What do you want me to do about it. I explained everything that had gone wrong with the car from day 1 of purchasing it and he said he cant tell me anything about the car cause he knows nothing about it but still thought he would sell it for 7 grand with no history (or so he says). I told him id either like my money back or to replace the car with another one and his response was well thats not going to happen and nor is that going to happen. I then said to him, i may aswell got 7 grand and burnt it he then said well no not really youve had it 5 months. (Its been in and of garages 3 of them). Absolutely shocking behaviour for someone who's been going 40years. How theyve lasted this long, i'll never know. To all you buyers, be warned, be carefull and be sensible and go elsewhere - JUST BECAUSE THESE CARS LOOK THE PART I CAN ASSURE YOU NEITHER THE CARS OR THE DEALERS ARE WHAT THEY ARE MADE OUT TO BE. *FALSE ADVERTISING* - BJH you ought to be ashamed of yourselfs robbing people left, right and centre! * STAY AWAY*

Saw a car with the exact spec that I had been looking for advertised by this garage on ebay. I called the garage to express an interest. Asked for a completely honest review of the car as I would be driving the 180 mile round trip with the intention of buying the car and not just looking at it. The garage's own words were that there has to be trust on both side and was promised that "the car didn't even have a stone chip". Sounds good?......yes, until I turned up to purchase the car to find that the hood (it was a soft top) had been torn and had an obvious bad repair. They denied knowledge of ever having seen it before which is complete rubbish...it was the first thing I noticed on the car. So what was their intention??..hoping that I wouldn't spot it or were they hoping that I would still purchase the car having driven such a long way? Either way I was lied to in the hope that I would part with £9,000. Beware of this garage - they are not to be trusted and don't let the fact that they have apparently been around for a long time fool you !!!!!
