I would give zero stars if I could to Carsa - AVOID I would give zero stars if I could to the Towcester branch and Carsa Customer Service. DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM HERE. The smarmy salesman will sell you the car, and the manager will tell you to write a great review, and after that, your experience will be hell on earth. I have a partner with stage 4 cancer and live in a hamlet, and need to drive my daughter to school - I told them I needed a reliable car as I already had enough stress to deal with. In hindsight, on the day I test drove the car, there was an engine management light on, but I had not owned an MG before and so did not know this. On the second day, I owned the car, it refused to start. On the third day, I owned it, I found out there was no washer fluid in it. Despite the website bragging about the multiple checks they make in order to ensure it is roadworthy for your peace of mind. I spoke to the service department, and initially, it all sounded good. Bring it up, and we will sort it. The two girls there will, after this point, completely pass the buck and are not interested. I was told they thought it was a software update, but they didn't know the code, so I had to book it into an MG Garage. I told the girl at the desk that I had no faith that the vehicle had been prepared properly, and I wanted them to run a full check on top of the two issues I mentioned. She gave me the keys back 40 mins later and told me the car was perfect apart from the engine management light, which they thought was a software update. I booked it into a Perry's MG garage but had to wait a month for an appointment. In the meantime, it started squealing at me. At this point, I had lost all faith in Carsa and asked Perry's to do a full diagnostic. They discovered that the engine management light was a starter motor, and the car had two software updates - all covered for free. But the brakes were at 95%, and the battery was at 60%. Then started a battle of over a week of no one bothering to answer my emails. Going in person to the Towcester garage and being fobbed off by the two service girls, the manager and the salesperson. Apparently its nothing to do with them, and you have to wait for customer service. Eventually, my friend, by calling every number on their website, got hold of someone who has also been fobbing me off ever since, it's currently refusing to pay for the brakes to be fixed by Perry's as they can legally sell a car apparently with 4mm left on the brakes - and not warn you - and leave you with a bill for £450. The brakes and pads were down to 1.5mm for 3 and 1mm for 1, and it is in effect an MOT failure and not safe to drive out of Perry's until the brakes are done. They promised me a hire car last Friday lunchtime, and I heard nothing and had to chase them at 4pm, only to be told their systems were down and instead of the free hire for a week, they would give me £25 towards a hire with Enterprise. The cheapest car for a day was £79. After another complaint, I finally got a call from Enterprise at 5pm telling me a car had been arranged for me, with more stress. I will now be carless again after tomorrow. Do not touch this place with a bargepole. I cannot believe telling you the stress and inconvenience this has caused, but they just don't care. I will be taking them to Trading Standards under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, as they will just continue to ghost me.
