Greenpoint Car Sales Ltd

A registered charity donated £14k to my family to buy a van from Greenpoint In December 2025. It very quickly failed with major engine issues. An independent garage found evidence of prior engine work not completed to a professional standard or disclosed in the service records. The dealer has not resolved the issue and has refused to engage with me and has threatened to abandon my vehicle on the side of the road unless I remove negative reviews. My Public reviews are entirely factual and based on my own experience. I would encourage potential customers to conduct their own thorough due diligence before conducting business with Greenpoint Car Sales Ltd or Richard Palmer.

The owner Richard Palmer is not to be trusted. He has a long history of selling cars that are unfit for the road. He was jailed in 2018 when the law finally caught up with him. He is banned from being a director so has set this company up in his wife's name - Denise. If you've had problems or been ripped off then contact Trading Standards. They're well aware of him!

I have bought a Peugeot 207 and a Suzuki SX4 from Greenpoint Car Sales, both cars excellent. Brilliant communication and seemless service. I would 100% recommend this company.

This guy should be shut down, as he does is flip cars he buys, cleans them and then gets his mate Aldridge MOT to give them a clean MOT without actually fixing the problems. Check the cars by a mechanic before giving him any money at all. He is highly defensive in his messages and threatening putting things in a way as if he will get his lawyers involved. I've had to spend 1k plus to get the car running correctly. Please read the negative reviews on trust pilot. Also check companies house as he isn't the registered owners.
