Couldn’t agree more with the comment that has already been posted, bought an absolute heap of rubbish from Jim last year, lost a lot of money on the car that probably wasn’t even road worthy, was probably little more that an auction car that had been tidied up to be sold.

Disappointed to be writing this review but since we purchased a vehicle from JMC car sales it has been nothing but trouble. Bought a Citroen c3 on 29/03/22 as a second car for my wife to take our 6 month old daughter to various classes/appointment. Messaged Jim to explain our situation and that we didn’t care much about the exterior condition of the car (does have a few bumps and scratches) but our only priority was that it is mechanically safe and sound. The car come with 3 month warranty and a 12 month MOT (1 advisory front discs). Jim dropped the car to our door personally and the transaction was very smooth, all seemed well, plus he had just driven the car 20 odd miles to get to us. A day later when my wife first drove the car we instantly noticed a rattle coming from the dash area. Messaged Jim and was told it was probably the heat shield. Took the car to a local garage for a look over to be told there was numerous problems underneath regarding corrosion on various components, that most of the exhaust system was held on with jubilee clips & cable ties, that there was an oil leak and the back drums were binding. Jim send us £65 to cover the oil leak. Got what was left of the heat shield re attached at local garage and the back brake shoes replaced (felt the brakes were more important than the oil leak at the time) but still a rattling noise coming from dash. A couple of weeks later the handbreak totally goes. Won’t hold at all completely useless at its job, at this point my wife is very apprehensive about using the car given these problems but I assure her it will be okay. Then today while my wife is driving back i receive a phone call from her crying saying there’s a funny noise coming from the back and the car feels awful. When she gets back home the full exhaust has snapped clean off due to corrosion and is just dangling hanging on by 1 rubber mount. The car is now completely un-drivable and most of all unsafe. I contacted jim again to be told there’s nothing he can do as it is “perishable” despite nothing being on the official MOT test result or mentioned before the sale of a completely rotted underbody. Have been told by 2 garages (local and Kwikfit) that the corrosion should have at least been an advisory on the MOT and possible more. I am now questioning the integrity of the MOT that has been issued on this vehicle and think it could be a dodgy one. I have reported the garage to VOSA. We only initially bought the car because of how well Jim came across during conversations and the positive reviews he has on autotrader. Mentioning several times that a new born would be in the car almost every time it was driven and again that safety was paramount. I’m extremely disappointed and my wife is very upset that we are now stuck with a car which we have both lost total confidence in for safety purposes and is un-drivable. I’m not blaming Jim for this cars faults as their is a chance he genuinely didn’t know about them. But when he sold us the car it became his responsibility and he is not helping us one bit. Now we have a lump of scrap metal outside that cost us £1,900
