*AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE - DODGY DEALER* Marshall & Sons Motors Ltd are without question, the worst dealer out there. I purchased a Porsche 911 for £43,750 and within days of collection numerous serious issues became apparent. Following an independent inspection by Porsche West London, I was informed of a long list of defects, including a coolant leak, failing water pump, faulty lighting, leaking driveline components, poor bumper fitment, extensive corrosion and significant underbody deterioration. The most alarming part, these issues had clearly been present before the vehicle was sold. I raised my concerns immediately and exercised my short-term right to reject the vehicle under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. Despite providing detailed evidence and expert findings, I was met with repeated resistance and denial, forcing the matter into a lengthy legal dispute. As mentioned, I subsequently took the vehicle to Porsche West London. Their reaction to the condition of the car was one of genuine surprise, particularly given the recent MOT certificate provided by their chummy garage next door, RJB Sports Cars. The condition of the vehicle led to questions being raised regarding how it had achieved its MOT status in the state it was presented to me. What should have been a straightforward resolution became months of unnecessary stress, legal preparation and correspondence. Detailed pre-action proceedings were drafted, specialist evidence was obtained and court action was being actively pursued. Funnily enough, they ultimately opted to refund the full purchase price months later before the matter reached an embarressing court hearing for them. Prospective buyers can draw their own conclusions from that.. I have reported my concerns regarding this matter to the relevant authorities, including the DVSA, Trading Standards and Action Fraud, providing supporting evidence for their ongoing enquiries into the business. For anyone considering purchasing from this dealer, I would strongly advise that you don’t. There are plenty of trustworthy dealers out there, Marshall and Sons Motors Ltd, not being one of them. Regardless of any response received to this review, I again warn the public not to take it at face value, as I believe it is likely to be a misrepresentation of the truth and the events that actually took place. Readers may wish to consider for themselves why the matter was withdrawn before reaching a court hearing. Dodgy cars, dodgy practises.. Avoid.
