We bought a car from Portfield Car Sales, there has been nothing but problems from day one. Within an hour of getting it home, the engine management light came on, the car went into reduced‑power mode, and it began juddering and misfiring. Despite multiple returns, repeated “repairs,” and long delays, the same issues kept coming back — stalling, limp mode, injector faults, warning lights, and ongoing juddering. Their Loan Cars weren't exactly Roadworthy, this said alot in all honesty. Even seven months later, the car has broken down again with the SAME faults it had on the day of purchase. A recent inspection has now found a broken rocker cover and same injector has failed. The Rocker cover issue had been masked by sealing a crack with ALOT of Silicone sealant, which after a few months had failed....conveniently, just after the warranty period. Communication throughout had been poor, faults have gone unresolved, and the vehicle has never been reliable or fit for purpose. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this dealership. They offered another inspection recently, however we would not allow this after so many previous attempts to repair and recent findings of our own. We did not feel this was safe after all the previous incompetence.
