⭐ 1/5 STARS — DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY. BUYER BEWARE. I am writing this honest review to warn everyone considering buying a vehicle from S Rafferty — please save yourself the stress, the expense, and the huge headache I have gone through. I purchased a car from them believing it had been properly checked and was roadworthy. Within literally a couple of weeks, I was already dealing with four separate serious faults with the vehicle — major issues that should never have been present in a car sold as fit for use. The most serious problem was the wheel bearings. When I flagged this fault with them, they provided me with a report from another engineer stating no wheel bearing work was needed at all — that everything was fine. But I knew something wasn’t right, so I took the car to a trusted, independent mechanic for a proper assessment. What they found was shocking: - ✅ One side: The wheel bearing was completely cracked, and the entire housing part holding it in place was also damaged — both had to be fully replaced. - ✅ The other side: That wheel bearing was also failing and required replacement too — another job they claimed wasn’t necessary. These are not small, cheap repairs — they are major, costly work that should have been identified before the car was ever sold. When I raised this with them, they refused to cover any of the costs, leaving me to pay out hundreds of pounds for repairs that should never have been my responsibility. It is deeply worrying that they will sell a car in this condition, provide documentation to say it is fine, and then deny any liability when the truth comes out. You cannot trust the checks they say they carry out — clearly critical safety faults are being missed or ignored entirely. My advice: Do not walk onto their forecourt. There are plenty of honest, reputable places to buy a car where you won’t be left with a dangerous vehicle and a bill for repairs the seller should have fixed. I will never return, and I will tell everyone I know to avoid this place too.   Would you like me to shorten it, adjust any details, or make it sound firmer/softer before you post it?
