Vivian Price Cars

Extremely poor aftersales care from Vivian Price Cars. I purchased a vehicle from them for £5,500 just 3 weeks ago. The car developed a fault which they have repaired. However, they are now withholding my vehicle and refusing to hand over my keys unless I pay an unauthorized £250 'excess' fee—despite me signing absolutely no contract or paperwork agreeing to such a fee. Under Section 23 of the Consumer Rights Act 2015, an inherent fault reported within the first 30 days must be repaired entirely at the dealer's expense with no cost to the consumer. Withholding a vehicle over an uncontracted fee is completely unlawful. Citizens Advice and Trading Standards have been formally notified of these business practices, and a formal Letter Before Action was delivered to the dealership via recorded delivery yesterday. I am demanding either the immediate return of my repaired vehicle with the £250 fee waived, or a full vehicle rejection and refund of my £5,500. Prospective buyers beware.
