I recently had the misfortune of dealing with weonlysellusedcars when my car displayed a break warning light. After a 5-hour wait while they diagnosed the issue, they informed me the ABS pump needed replacing at an exorbitant cost of £1500. They claimed their warranty would only cover £500, leaving me with a hefty bill.
Suspecting something was amiss, I sought a second opinion. The second garage quickly identified the problem as a simple faulty sensor, a £25 fix! It seems weonlysellusedcars blatantly lied about the diagnosis, attempting to overcharge me for an unnecessary repair.
When I confronted them about this and requested they cover the actual repair cost under my warranty, they point-blank refused. They wouldn't even let me speak to a manager and have ignored my requests for a call-back. Their excuse? Warranty work must be done in their garage, even if their garage is incapable of completing the work.
This whole experience reeks of a scam. It appears their strategy is to inflate repair quotes, hoping customers won't seek alternatives. If you do get a second opinion and find a cheaper solution, they conveniently wriggle out of their warranty obligations.
Avoid weonlysellusedcars at all costs! They are dishonest, incompetent, and their warranty is entirely worthless.
I will be reporting them to Trading Standards and urge anyone else who has had a similar experience to do the same.
