Be cautious of using this company! I bought a vehicle from them on July 13th, not seen it in person due to the distance but did checks online as well as ensuring it had a service history. All contact with the company was either by phone, text or email. They were very good at the start, replying to queries as well as ensuring that I received the invoice quickly to pay the deposit. The vehicle was delivered on the 20th July. Unfortunately that’s where the positives ends. The vehicle itself is brilliant, I have no issue with the car, what I have problems with is the company itself. When the car was delivered it was dirty, marks on headliner, dust, mud and general dirt inside. No problem as I quite enjoy cleaning it. When I came to clean the engine bay the bonnet would not open, contacted the owner to make him aware of the issue who stated they would cover the cost of the repair, secondly the air con was not working, I could not top up the coolant due to the bonnet issues. He was made aware of the issue with the bonnet on the 20th July. 10th August the vehicle was repaired, £120 for the air con regas (which solved the problem) and £210 for the bonnet fix. The invoice was sent to the company both by email and a text to the owner on the 10th August. Nothing was heard, so on the 19th August I called the company and was told it would be sorted that day. Nothing again. On the 25th August I followed this up with no response yet again. Therefore I decided to make a claim under the warranty which was refused, the warranty company contacted the owner and I was assured that he would be contacting me back ‘shortly’ to discuss reimbursement. As expected nothing. On the 6th September I sent an email to the company stating that I require payment by the 15th September otherwise I would consider taking them to a small claims court. I did eventually get a reply from the owner stating that personal issues had meant he could not deal with the situation and it would be sorted when he ‘gets to the office’, when that would be, your guess is as good as mine. It is now the October and not a sausage from them! The only contact I have had is from a parking enforcement company for Aldi in Selby warning me that I had contravened their regulations. That was for my old car which I had put in as part ex, obviously they have not updated the DVLA regarding the change of keeper, as at the time I over 100 miles away. I appreciate the amount owed is not a huge but it is now the principal of the matter. No courtesy to acknowledge receipt of the invoice I sent. In fact if they had simply said, you will be paid on such a date I would have been happy with that. Would I buy another vehicle from them? Definitely not! Update After the above review was posted I had an email the same day from the owner asking for the review to be removed and he would pay the monies owed that same evening. This matter is now progressing to small claims court. Throughout the entirety of the process so far, the owner and Yorkshire Motor Company have failed to engage. This also includes two sets of mediation organised by HM Courts and Tribunals to settle the matter amicably. Despite both him and I agreeing on dates for the mediation he cancelled the first and didn’t even answer the phone to the mediator on the second. Further more, I have had to replace a sensor on the car at a cost of £221, work being carried out today. Go through the warranty company I thought. However after speaking to the warranty company this afternoon they will not pay out as they have stopped dealing with Yorkshire Motor Company due to the fact they fail to respond to their requests to authorise repairs. In effect they act like a single point of contact, handling the claim side and queries from customers. Ergo the warranty is not worth paper it is written on.

I would not recommend this company. We bought a vehicle 2 months ago, still no V5, after talking to the DVLA its clear the seller never bothered to send it. Vehicle was advertised with 12 months MOT, full service history and 2 keys. The MOT was not done, when I got one done it revealed multiple issues, further inspection revealed the car to be in a terrible state. The service history was just a hand written business card stapled into the service book, no mileage or stamp. 2 keys were advertised; it took the seller 3 weeks to send me a photo of a brand new blank key claiming this was the 2nd key. The warranty they offer is suspicious, I have still not received account details of this supposed warranty (which is with a company who has almost all negative reviews). Tried to reject the vehicle and the seller stopped responding, he has ignored legal letters and not even offered repairs. The vehicle has multiple mechanical issues which the seller has not even acknowledged. He has given several different contradicting excuses before stopping reply’s all together. We are having to take him to court to recover our loses as the vehicle is not useable, also reported to trading standards. If you have had issues with this dealer I urge you to also contact trading standards as there are now several registered complaints against him, more will help. So my experience has been over £14,000 spent, no useable vehicle and radio silence from this dealer. please see attached image of the vehicle inspection less than 2 weeks after purchase. Full email conversation is available should anybody need to see it, you can see the dealer tripping over his own lies in multiple places.
