7 Stunning SUVs
7 of the most appealing SUVs on the market, all in one place.
7. Volkswagen Tiguan R-Line Tech
The Tiguan is a pretty smart looking thing in any spec. The sharp lines across the waistline complement the chrome grille and linear headlights. It’s a uniform and correct car in its appearance as standard, but if you spec the ‘R-Line tech’ model then it becomes a whole different beast. This model comes with 20” Suzuka alloys which really adds to the muscularity of the car, you also get a pretty epic panoramic roof, the windows are tinted all the way around and the headlights and daytime running lights are upgraded to LEDs. The R Line Tech pack makes a pretty cool car look top-class. The entry-level Tiguan is on sale from £23,990 and the R-Line Tech model starts at £33,150
6. Jaguar F-PACE
The F-Pace was Jaguars first-ever SUV upon its release. It has now been accompanied by the equally delightful E-Pace and the electric I-Pace. The F-Pace gets styling from the undeniably beautiful F-type sports car, upholstery from the Range Rover family, and an interior that oozes the sheer class that Jaguar has become synonymous with. It’s very difficult to fault the aesthetics of the F-Pace, and it performs as wonderfully as it appears. Solid diesel engines make the F-Pace easy to live with and the lightweight nature of this SUV make it a pleasure to drive. All in all, a resounding success. The F-Pace is on sale now with prices from just £36,520.
5. Mercedes-Benz GLC
The GLC was introduced as a brand new model to rival the likes of the Audi Q3 and BMW X3, but it really offered something completely different. While both of those cars are pretty luxurious, they haven’t got a patch on the GLC. Mercedes are leading the way in terms of interior and exterior equipment in their cars and the GLC highlight this. The interior is considerably nice than it’s German rivals and it is a simply lovely place to sit. The exterior is equally nice, especially when spec’d with big alloys and tinted windows. There’s simply no denying that the new GLC has significant curb appeal. The GLC is on sale now and prices start from £35,795.
4. Volvo XC60
Ultra-safe, ultra-comfortable and as ergonomic as a glove. The new XC60 follows the lead of the XC90 by providing the sophisticated and sensible values that we come to expect from Volvo and blending in the incredibly attractive styling and design-work that Volvo has become famous for in the last few years. Everything about the XC60 is gorgeous, from the intricate headlights to the unique headrests. They really have thought about everything with this car and we’re confident that it’s a car that buyers will quickly fall in love with. The XC60 is in showrooms now with prices starting from £38,320.
3. BMW X3
The BMW X3 was in need of an update as it had started to fall behind the likes of the GLC and Audi Q3 but, thankfully, the guys at BMW know exactly what they’re doing. The new X3 carries forward the styling cues that are being rolled out across the BMW range. This means big grilles, bold headlights, lots of angles and jaw-dropping desirability levels. Of course, as with every BMW, the real selling point is the driving experience, which is majestic, to say the least, and potential buyers will be happy to know that it comes with a high level of technology as standard and prices start from £39,870.
2. Audi Q5
The Q5 is incredibly popular. Not only is it one of Audi’s top-selling models, but it’s also frequently the best selling model in its segment. People like the understated styling and the iconic front-end. Buyers will now also love the gorgeous interior layout and beautiful digital dashboard that they have fitted to this new Q5. The new Q5 is just like the hugely popular old model, only better in every way. More economical, more comfortable, more dramatic, more advanced and more modern. There’s so much to love and it is available now with prices from £40,525.
1. Range Rover Velar
Is this the best looking 4x4 on the market? Probably. The Velar boasts all the exceptional technology of the Range Rover Sport, only it is presented in a more dynamic and chic package. The large alloys fill out the arches in a statement of intent, with the roofline and window line narrowing aggressively from front to rear. The Velar is one of those cars that looks like it’s moving fast, even when it’s parked. The interior is incredibly luxurious too and it is certainly one of the most desirable SUVs at this price point. The Velar is on sale now with prices from £45,135
