Discover the celebrities Ferrari has blacklisted from owning their cars—Justin Bieber, 50 Cent, Nicolas Cage, and more.

Banned by Ferrari: The celebs who can’t buy a prancing horse

Owning a Ferrari has always been more than just a financial investment—it’s a symbol of exclusivity. Take the Daytona SP3, Ferrari’s most powerful model, for example. With only 599 units available and a price tag of £1.7 million each, it’s a true rarity.

But as Business Insider reveals, Ferrari’s exclusivity goes beyond the price tag or limited editions. The brand actually handpicks who gets to own and drive its iconic cars. Some celebrities, no matter their fame or fortune, have even found themselves blacklisted from the Ferrari club.

Ferrari isn’t just selling cars; they’re selling a lifestyle. Owning one isn’t about simply having the money—it’s about embodying the brand’s image. Even the biggest stars can find themselves shut out if Ferrari feels they don’t align with the company’s values. The process is mysterious, but one thing’s certain: if you’re too flashy, tacky, or use your Ferrari for self-promotion, you might just lose the keys.

Some big-name celebs have crossed Ferrari's line and ended up banned or refused by the brand, making headlines in the process.

Celebrities Banned by Ferrari

Justin Bieber

A few years back, Bieber got drunk, lost his Ferrari 458, and took two weeks to find it. On top of that, Ferrari wasn’t a fan of the flashy customisations he made to their cars, calling them “vulgar.”

50 Cent

Rapper and actor 50 Cent made Ferrari’s blacklist partly because of his Instagram antics. One major offence? Posting a video of himself washing his Ferrari with champagne—something Ferrari wasn’t too happy about.

Nicolas Cage

Cage had to sell his ultra-rare Ferrari Enzo to settle personal debts. The issue? He sold it for less than its original value, which didn’t sit well with Ferrari.

Deadmau5

The DJ gave his Ferrari 458 Spider a one-of-a-kind makeover, wrapping it in a Nyan Cat theme and renaming it “Purrari.” Ferrari wasn’t amused. They demanded he remove the customisations, but when he refused, they nearly took legal action.

Ferrari’s not just picky about who buys their cars—they’re watching what owners do with them, too.
