To make matters worse the man is then found to be over the legal alcohol limit

Driver crashes into a police car whilst caught having ‘adult time’ with passenger

A Manchester motorist who was clearly a little preoccupied to be driving attempted to drive off after being spotted by police, only to crash into an unmarked police car.

Manchester City Centre Police said the driver was in such a rush to avoid being caught with his trousers down (pardon the pun) that he reversed his car into an unmarked vehicle.

The chancer’s evening then went from bad to worse as police gave him a roadside breath test, which he failed. He was arrested on suspicion of drink-driving as a result.

Manchester City Centre Police shared on Twitter; "Seems he was in a hurry to get off as he didn’t want officers to realise he was having some adult time with his female friend. Unfortunately for him, he’s now been arrested for drink driving."

They confirmed that no officers were injured in the incident and the police car suffered "minimal damage".

Anybody convicted of driving or attempting to drive while above the legal limit or unfit through drink can be sentenced to a maximum six months’ imprisonment, an unlimited fine and a one-year driving ban (three years if convicted twice in 10 years).
