WARNING, car buyers beware - dodgy car dealing in Dundee. Bought a car from PARC CARS LIMITED in Dundee for £3,500 and it broke down before we even left city. Steering pump failed and other faults found. We had it inspected by DVSA who failed it for MOT (it had a new MOT when sold to us by PARC CARS) and at another garage which showed it needs a fortune spent on it. Lee Mcmurchie at PARC CARS said he'd take it back for less we than paid for it as he 'didn't want to be out of pocket'. Eventually took PARC CARS to court (case SC70-16) and WE WON THE CASE! Mcmurchie said in court he knew faults with car when he sold it! PARC CARS ordered to pay us £5,000 plus costs. McMurchie's response was 'whatever' and they've not paid up. McMurchie has started a new company, C L CASTLEWOOD, but is still trading as PARC CARS at same address (Manhattan Works, Dundee) although he's tried to close down Parc Cars and transfer stock to new company to avoid paying debts. We have stopped closure of PARC CARS so if anyone else trying to claim a debt from Parc Cars see Companies House. Trading Standards also investigating. Mcmurchie claims the company no longer in business but it is! Note: the consumer rights act changed in 2015 so buyers can reject car and demand full refund from dealer within 30 days - you don't have to use any warranties and Dealer not entitled to try and repair before giving money back. BUYERS BEWARE - PARC CARS ignores the laws - other buyers reviews of Parc Cars also on Google stating poor service.
