This review reflects my personal experience of purchasing a vehicle from Compact Car Centre.
Shortly after purchasing the vehicle, I became concerned about its condition and arranged for an independent inspection by my own mechanic.
The mechanic identified a number of issues, including concerns with the suspension, steering, brakes, air conditioning, exhaust mounting and an ABS fault. I was provided with videos and photographs of the inspection, which I supplied to the dealership.
I returned the vehicle to the dealer approximately two weeks after purchase so they could carry out their own inspection. The vehicle then remained with the dealership for several weeks while an independent assessor prepared a report. That report reached different conclusions to those of my mechanic, although it did identify an air conditioning fault, which the dealership repaired.
After collecting the vehicle, I arranged for my own garage to carry out further work because I had lost confidence in the vehicle. The mechanic again reported concerns with components that I had originally raised, and I retained the replaced parts along with photographs and videos.
What disappointed me most throughout this process was the aftercare and communication. I found it difficult to obtain updates, and I often had to chase the dealership for responses. This made what was already a stressful situation much more frustrating.
As a result of my experience, I have reported my concerns to Trading Standards and sought their advice.
Everyone’s experience will be different, but based on mine, I would strongly recommend that anyone considering purchasing a vehicle from this dealership has it independently inspected as soon as possible after purchase and carefully reads reviews from a range of sources before making a decision.
I appreciate that the dealership may have a different view of the events, but this review is an honest account of my own experience.

I purchased an Audi S3 2016 from Compact Car Centre Rowley Regis in November 2025 for £16,790. It developed a fault within two hours and was rejected two days later. The dealer denied the fault, forcing me into a stressful County Court legal battle.
The court has now ruled in my favour, confirming the car was sold faulty, and ordered a full refund and costs.
