I would like to congratulate the team at Derby Car Centre for the excellent service i recieved from them when buying my 5 year old VW Passatt Diesel. I had been looking for many months to find the right car at the right price in the best condition and had visited many garages in my pursuit to achieve this. I found visiting garages a very ackward experience on the whole with salesman jumping on me as soon as i stepped out of my car to look at what was on offer however at Derby Car Centre the process was very relaxed and friendly and they had such a large amount of cars for sale it was quite daunting at first. But within no time i was made to feel relaxed and was shown various clean and tidy examples of what i was looking for. Nothing was a problem, as we narrowed down the selection on offer i then enjoyed a lenthy test drive in two cars i had selected and was made to feel at ease as i got to know the cars i was testing. On our return to their premises they then set about getting me the very best price for my part exchange as they could and i found the overall deal they offered was me very fair with no pressure at all as to me making a decision to buy. They agreed to give the car i liked the a full years MOT, complete an engine oil and oil filter service and supply the car with 12 months parts and labour warranty. They advised me that if i decided to go for the car that it would be ready for collection within 3 working days from me confirming i wished to go ahead. My wife was happy with the overall deal and our young children really enjoyed themselves looking round the big selection on offer. We told the salesman we would think about what he had put forward and went home to consider our options. Pleased with the overall package on offer i phoned the next day to ask for another test drive to make sure once and for all the car we liked was the one for us. Nothing was a problem the salesman spent a further 2 hours with us as we test drove again, looked through all the service history and HPI report and discussed the finance options that were available. Eventually all was agreed and we went away excited at the prospect of collecting our new car the following Wednesday. On collection the car had been freshly valeted and looked a million dollars. The car had been MOT'd and serviced as promised and the salesman completed all the paperwork on collection in a very relaxed and thorough fashion,he outlined what work had been done for the MOT and had reciepts and guarantees for the parts etc that it had had. We have had the car 6 months now and are overjoyed with our decision to buy from this dealer. During the last 6 months we did have the odd niggle with the car which in fairness you would expect from any 5 year old used car but on calling the dealer to discuss the areas of concern they could not have been more helpful. On both occassions, firstly when a warning light came on on the dash they immediatly diagnosed the fault and replaced the part with no quibble and on the second occassion, a rubbing noise from the rear . they had the car in within 24 hours and on diagnosis rectified the fault at no expense to ourselves. They have also saved me a great deal of money on my wifes car which needed 2 tyres and a middle section exhaust for its MOT, Derby Car Centre got me the parts at trade price saving me quite alot of money as well getting me the MOT done at one of the MOT stations they use at trade price. They said that because i had bought a car from them that they would be only to happy to help save us money on any mechanical work i or my family needed on cars going forward and they have been true to their word. I would highly recommend this dealer for their overall service, it has been a pleasure dealing with them.
