I bought a vehicle from Digbeth Motor Sales (DMS) and paid extra for delivery to me, which they arranged. All went smoothly, so I thought. 5 months later I got a notice of intended prosecution as the driver had been captured by a speed camera en route to me, so the notice came to me as the (now) registered keeper. There is a requirement to provide details of the driver within 28 days, otherwise risk prosecution for something that was not my responsibility. I have spent 2.5 weeks trying to get answers from DMS. First they told me they didn't know who the driver was, and initially said they had contacted the company the driver worked for, who they also said had asked why the information was needed. When I told DMS the reason, DMS then provided no information to help me, would not answer straightforward questions, and appear to be inconsistent in their responses. They did give me the name of a company, but I cannot confirm if the company even exists (google says they are closed, and the phone number came up as "not valid" when I called it. DMS would not provide a copy of their comms with said company, and they will not answer questions about the records they keep on who they release their vehicles to for delivery to customers, or even confirm whether the names on my invoice are DMS staff. They have not responded to my whatsapp messages for 9 days now and don't appear to want to talk to me. I suspect they have blocked my number (otherwise surely I should be able to get through to a used car dealer during working hours on the 2 different mobile and 2 different landlines that they advertise ?). I've also emailed them and left voicemails requesting urgent call back from the company director, and I've heard nothing. I have acted in good faith. DMS were responsible for arranging delivery of the vehicle to me prior to me transferring the outstanding balance and completing the purchase. They have taken no responsibility.

This review is meant for Digbeth Motor Group...not Digbeth motor sales.
Digbeth Motor Group sold me a faulty car, that had not been serviced since 2016 but lied about servicing it May 2023 and even stamped the service book, but car went into limp mode 5 times 6 days after buying it and eventually broke down 22 days after I bought it.Thats when I found out it had not been serviced at all and needed new spark plugs and coils costing me £420 plus needed a major service immediately. They refused to repair car and am now taking them to court.Digbeth Motor Group is run by a mouthy dodgy guy who is selling faulty cars with no service history,no logbook,no receipts, suspicious MOT passAvoid at all costs but if you have a dodgy car they are the dealers to sell it to,they will sell it on to unsuspecting families and refuse to take responsibility.
