A week ago I left quite a stark review here for Doves (as you can see below). Having read that review, the General Manager at Doves contacted me and said he was very keen to solve the issues I mentioned. They have now sorted the wheelnut problem on my car (very quickly, too) and did this free of charge. The manager (Simon Moulton) then had a chat with me, wanting to know everything about my experience with them from first point of contact. He was extremely helpful, and I really appreciate everything he's done to make up for what had happened. He's a fantastic example of great customer care, which I hope will be passed on to all their staff. Many thanks!

Can't quite believe the customer service of this place. The post sales care is appalling. The Sales Manager (Lee Stocks) was incredibly argumentative - I've never known a manager speak to a customer like that. They will not accept responsibility. Here are the details: I'd put a deposit down on a car, and then they rang back and said "oops, it's actually sold...have this one instead!" So it wasn't a great start. It then took them a ridiculously long time to get the car to their branch (god knows where it was sitting for all that time), and their communication was atrocious throughout. The salesman who sold me my car was Paul Webster. Not a good communicator! When you put a deposit down on a car you'd think it's only fair to be kept in the loop of its whereabouts. After a month of owning the car I took it to an ATS to get the wheels balanced because there was significant vibration in the steering wheel. But it turned out the locking wheelnut key was very badly damaged because Doves had used an air gun when they shouldn't have, and ignored the damage they'd caused to the key. I bought a replacement from Ford, who said (without me saying anything) that you should definitely not use a gun to tighten them, unless using the right torque. But even with the new key the wheels won't come off because they've been over tightened, and they're shredding the key. So now have to pay for the wheels to be removed and get a new set of wheel bolts. I rang up Doves and spoke to the sales manager, Lee Stocks. He was so argumentative and would not accept that they had sold me a faulty item with the car. He admitted they use air guns on all their cars, and said they always did things by the manufacturer's guidelines - which I told him wasn't true because of what Ford had said. He then said that I could book the car in for them to have a go. I said "sure, I assume I won't be charged?" And he said there would be a charge! No way was I going back there! Awful garage.
