Buyers beware I bought a second hand vw golf at dunwell Haddington with MOTsays passed nothing wrong when MOT was due 3 months after buying car it failed and costing me a fortune I think some 1 garage or person before must have put a dodgy MOT on it when I looked back on the MOTS before it passed it failed twice with the same problem that I have now

I bought a VW Tiguan back in November and was very pleased with the car. There was a niggling issue with the Sat Nav system (that could not have been known about before it was sold). Terry & Lena were very good to deal with when informed of the problem and did all they could to fix the problem for me, eventually replacing the sat nav unit at no cost to me. The car runs really well and I am very satisfied with the purchase. I would recommend using Dunwell Motor Co.

What can we say.... Outrageous dealers and certainly to be avoided at every opportunity! We bought a car from them in June and have been back twice with problems to which we get told to basically go away and deal with it. After supposedly getting an MOT done on the 29th of May with no advisories and having so many noises and problems we took it to an independent garage for a PDI report and were gobsmacked to get a list back totalling £1,145.00 worth of problems in 6 weeks! Really?!? I understand its a used car but its still £5700 of used car which was supposed to be serviced and mot'd before sale.... Ha ha such a joke but yet not funny in the slightest! I would stay well clear of this garage as you will literally be throwing your money down the pan! We are currently dealing with trading standards, vosa and CAB to try either get the car taken back for a full refund or repairs carried out. End of the day we got screwed over big time by Dunwell Motors

Within days of purchasing my car my brakes FAILED!!! My rear left hand suspension spring was cracked in half. Which could have caused a hydrollic seize. Due to the broken spring, I had to replace the top mounts, and the suspension arms. All of this, even the the M.O.T. Had NO advisories! Very suspicious indeed! When I informed Dunwell Motors Ltd about my issues, they basically told me to get on with it. Now my ECU and ECM have failed, along with a blown head gasket. I paid £4000.00 for the car and it'll cost in excess of £5000.00 to fix. I have since informed vosa, who are investigating the said M.O.T. Also trading standards and citezans advice have advised me to reject the car under 'The supply of goods act 1973'. So if you find yourself in hardship because of this dealer, get in touch with those governing bodies, don't allow Dunwell Motors to 'steal' your hard earned, because you don't have to take it lying down. 'Reject your car' and get your money back! If you haven't purchased a car, it's simple, DON'T.
