Kensington Car Group

I purchased an Alfa Romeo Mito from the Kensington Car Group in October 2024. They offered me £700 for my Fiat 500 which was far as the sun had scorched the paint work and the lacquer had peeled. I had 2 quotes to sort the issue so they were aware of the cost to put it right. When I made the 4 hour journey from Essex the collect the Alfa the part ex price was reduced to £300 because of its condition even though they were more than aware of it so I had little choice other than to get my deposit refunded and return home without my new purchase. I was annoyed but I wanted the car as it was a present for my wife. To add insult to injury when I departed I was told the drivers handbook was in the glove compartment. When I got home, I wanted to tune in the radio etc. I discovered that there was no handbook. I called them and they said that the easiest solution was for me to purchase one and they would reimburse me for it. Well several conversations and excuses later eg "I'll chase up the accounts department" 3 months later there's still no sign of the money. This company has no honor so you should think twice before buying a car from them. I'm just glad that I paid for an aftermarket extended warranty. Going by my experience I doubt they fix any problems off their own back. Lee Paterson
