i was very happy with the service i recieved from john there was no pressure to buy no hard sell at all the focus i bought came with a 12mth mot as promised there was a small promblem with the key john paid for a new one i cant understand the negative comments i have read go see before you reach a decisision based on these bad comments

Absolutely appalling service from this company, I would stay well away. We have had nothing but trouble with the car bought from them in December last year. The customer service is beyond terrible, we spent the whole of Christmas and New Year without a car because everytime the "mechanic" fixed it, more problems arose. They couldn't have cared less......It was supposed to have had a full MOT and Service. They will avoid answering the phone, we know this because we had friends call at times when we were told they weren't there and we were never once offered a solution while the car was off the road i.e. courtesy car. Just not good enough. We called the AA out twice in the first month and they told us not to drive the car. We have recorded several complaints with Trading Standards. I would hate for anyone else to have to go through what we have been through. If you need to buy from this place, have the car looked over by the RAC or another mechanic before parting with any cash! I wish I had read some of the reviews before we bought from them.

I also found this company to be very unprofessional. My husband and I visited the Liverpool Motor Company after seeing a vehicle on their very deceiving professional looking website. After being left to wait for nearly 40 minutes to test drive a vehicle and a number of discussions about some work that needed to be done on the vehicle, we decided naively to buy. We were told to return the following weekend to pick the car up and all work would be completed and the car would be ready to take away. My husband returned the following weekend with ny father only to find the car had not even been touched! in fact my father found the battery cover to the car wedged behind the bins that were at the side of the building and when decided to test drive the car one last time, the clutch stook whilst driving! My husband then told the company he would like his deposit of 500 pound returned. In a nutshell, they gave us a false name of Tommy for a manager who we feel does not exist and it took us two weeks of us constantly having to ring them daily to try and get our deposit back. Not once did they contact us or apologise for the inconvienience they caused. After 3 weeks of hard perserverence and stress they finally gave in and transferred our money back into the bank. I would strongly advise anyone not to even think about purchasing a car from this company.

I totally agree with the comments below. Had the similar experience and brought me a lot of troubles since buying an used car in Liverpool Motor Company!!! regretting!!! promised to send me all documents by post but NEVER and said they posted to me maybe the documents lost by post when I kept ringing the company!!! selling car without MOT and lied to me!!! went to police office and found out the issue! wanted to make a complaint to relavent organisation but lack of information. NEVER AGAIN

I bought a beetle from Liverpool Motor company 2 weeks ago and can honestly say it is the best all round car i have bought. I had been searching for a beetle convertible for nearly a month and when i seen this one i went and looked,it was exactly how they described it.I had an Rac inspection as i know little about cars and it was fine.They would not move on the price even though i was a cash buyer,but to be fair to them,they were already cheaper than other similar beetle's. I would buy again from this garage,no hesitation.

Should have taken Annon's advise and stayed well clear. Never produced any paperwork for proofing. Promised and confirmed repairs and MOT finished and ready for collection. The car was in a worse state than when first seen and with no repairs. Took many phone calls and told many lies when trying to refund deposit.
