Sadly my personal experience was not as cheery as most, I also had a similar experience from someone else on here. Purchased a Mercedes E300 Hybrid from them in July 2022. First part of the deal was a breeze and very good service. Problem started when I found issues with the car including an intermittent gearbox issues and rodent damaged wiring. After a very very short test drive with the garage (which the fault didnt occur) I was told there was nothing wrong with it - Yet I had even had passengers commenting on the bad shifts.
As the faults developed within the first 30 days I was legally entitled to a full refund which was when the issues began. I was point blank refused by Paul Beard Cars to return the car.
After getting the finance company involved they then hired an independent inspector to review the car, which unsurprisingly, stated that the car was indeed faulty and should be returned back to the garage for a refund (the garage still fighting it all the way!!).
Only once the finance company forced Paul Beard cars to take the car back did they finally come and collect it (tried to tell me to drop it off to them).
The whole experience left me without a car for almost a month as I wasn't allowed to drive it and caused a great deal of stress. Paul refused to take the car back even though I had a legal right to and I had already paid for my own independent inspection. Why this couldn't have been easily sorted out is beyond me.
I also had concerns about the RAC vehicle check, which seemed to be more of a tick box exercise rather than actually checking the vehicle - making it pointless in my opinion.
Overall in my personal opinion I would not recommend this garage. It seems like its all smiles until there is an issue and the RAC check is not worth the paper it is written on.
