The MG ZS offers premium features for an economical price including good looks and next-level technology

Meet the New MG ZS With a Big Warranty and a Small Price

The MG brand continues in 2019 with the success of its MG ZS compact SUV. This MG has something on its side that few other compact-crossovers do, and that it has an exceptionally low list price.

The MG ZS Explore is on sale now and prices start from a staggeringly low £12,495. That entry price gets you a 1.5-litre petrol engine with a manual gearbox, offering fuel consumption up to 41 mpg in return. Further models include the Excite, Limited Edition and Exclusive priced from £14,045 to £15,795.

Automatic models are priced from £16,045 to £17,795 and come exclusively with a 1.0-litre turbocharged diesel engine, returning 38 mpg on the combined cycle.

Whichever model you go for, buyers will be happy to know that the MG ZS comes with an outstanding warranty which lasts a whopping 7 years or 80,000 miles. That’s one of the best manufacturer warranties on the market and should help give peace of mind to sceptical buyers.

Inside the MG ZS is premium too, there’s a nice large user-friendly 8" touch screen to operate most entertainment functions. There is plenty of soft-touch materials across the dashboard including a carbon fibre finish and the equipment levels are generous too. Every single model comes with cruise control, Bluetooth and USB connectivity. Apple CarPlay is standard from the mid-level trim upwards.

There is bags of room with a class-leading 448-litre boot, and if you fold the seats down then the ZS is cavernous with 1,375-litres of load space.
