The Chevrolet Orlando has been awarded the accolade of the UK’s Best Value towing car in the annual Towcar Awards. The Chevrolet Orlando was praised for its towing stability, pulling power and all round practicality.

Chevrolets National Sales Manager, Daniel Gregorious said “the Orlando already encapsulates everything the family motorist would want from a car, so to receive recognition for its towing ability, and from such prestigious publications and organisations, is a real bonus. It’s yet another area in which the Orlando excels, not to mention its tremendous value for money.”

The Chevrolet Orlando was launched in February and has already become on e of the best MPV’s in its class. It is available with a 1.8 litre petrol engine or two new powerful diesel derivatives. The diesel engine models offer a combined mpg figure of 47.1 mpg with co2 emissions of 159g/km. It has a maximum towing weight of 1,500kg, with an 85 per cent match between kerbweight and towing weight of 1,471kg, meaning it’s capable of towing most medium-to-large touring caravans.

Highlights of the mid-priced LT trim level include rear parking sensors, climate control and an upgraded stereo while the range topping Chevrolet Orlando LTZ includes 17-inch alloys, automatic headlights and windscreen wipers and power-folding door mirrors. Prices start at £16,410 on the road, the Chevrolet Orlando is tremendous value for a full size well equipped seven seater.
