I contacted TSG Motors Ltd because my car would not start. They jumped the vehicle and towed it to their garage, stating they would diagnose the battery or alternator and call me back with the results. No one called me. When I called them at 4:00 PM the following day, I was informed that a new battery had already been ordered without my knowledge, consent, or a confirmed diagnosis. I was presented with an unexpected bill of £120.Under UK consumer guidelines, a garage should not execute chargeable work or order parts without prior agreement on the price. When I questioned this lack of transparency, the mechanic hung up the phone. During a follow-up conversation, they stated they would remove the new battery and leave me with my dead battery unless I paid. This is what happened: they reinstalled my old battery, left the engine running, and I had to drive it straight home. The lack of communication, unauthorized work, and unprofessional communication make this garage untrustworthy.
