Aston Martin has just dropped the Vantage S, the most track-focused version of its iconic sports car yet.
It’s the first time we’ve seen the “S” badge on a Vantage since 2018, and it follows the launch of the DBX S as Aston brings back the label for its highest-performance models. This new Vantage S is packing 671bhp, making it the most powerful standard Vantage ever (excluding the ultra-rare V12 version from 2022). But this isn’t just about big numbers; this thing has been tuned to tear up the track.
Engineers have gone all-in on improving cornering speed and grip. A new ducktail spoiler helps push more downforce towards the front of the car, and together with redesigned front and underbody aero, it produces 111kg of downforce at full tilt.
Under the bonnet, you’ve got a reworked 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 that still delivers 590lb ft of torque, but now that torque kicks in harder between 3000 and 6000rpm. The throttle has also been tweaked to feel sharper and more responsive, helping you squeeze every drop of performance from launch.
The numbers? 0–60mph in just 3.3 seconds (a tenth faster than before), 0–124mph in 10.1 seconds, and a top speed of 202mph. Sure, it’s still a second slower to 124mph than Ferrari’s new Roma replacement, the 631bhp Amalfi, but this Vantage S is all about balance, grip, and that classic Aston attitude.
On the outside, it’s dressed to kill with satin black 21-inch alloys, aggressive blade-style front intakes, and subtle “S” badging throughout.
Prices are expected to start around £170,000, with deliveries kicking off in October.
