This has taken me 15 months to say anything on here but now I need everyone to know!!(sorry for being dramatic!!) May 2022 I bought a suzuki grand vitara of which I had seen on Autotrader! I have never bought a car on my own&thought that was a reputable site! It was classed as a distance sale so I had 30 days warranty! I was taking Georgia back to uni&we had only travelled 20 minutes &it started rattling &smelling,I pulled off Kirkstill Road and it cut out!we were rolling down, the handbrake didn't work&we were rolling into heavy teatime traffic, luckily I managed to stop the car&we jumped out!!! Rac said head gasket had blown &there was no oil or water in car, having apparently just passed mot?!!!! I also found out that instead of 78,0000 miles on clock it was actually 125,0000 miles! I asked Bowden motors to pick the car up&recieved the most unprofessional disgusting behaviour I've ever heard in my life!! Fast forward 15 months to today,I had to buy a cheap runaround for £1500,its just cost me £625 mot! I had to pay tax&insurance on it until I won my court case in April!but I can't get my money from a company that no longer exists!this is what he does!!! Then he folded Bowden cars&renamed Senna Autos!!All same address Dunkenfield road Hyde! I had a conference call with a judge today&there really is no way to get my money back. If I can prevent anyone else from ever buying cut&shut, clocked cars &from going through this hell then I don't care about the money lost! The worst thing he did though was sell a car to a cancer patient who needed a reliable car for her treatment to hospital there&back&he sold her an unreliable wreck, that is scum of the earth. Check out Senna autos rogue traders on you tube that's just a handful of people affected by this unscrupulous man. I have gone to citizens advise, trading standards, spoke to solicitors and believe me he has done this for years and knows he's untouchable. Not that clever though Nigel Bowden I may not get my money back but if your face&business is out there hopefully no one will ever buy a car from you again!! I would really appreciate ALL my friends &family (especially Manchester fam)to share, share share,as this man has to be stopped. Also I know I've missed a lot out but I'm not looking for any comments or advice!! I promise you I have spoken to judges, solicitors, private investigators, there is nothing else I can do!!! Thanks for reading&sharing!!! Xxxxx ❤️

Avoid this company at all cost!!! They are absolute scammers who are only interested in ripping people off! We had put down a deposit of £250, and the day before we went to travel from Devon to collect had a phone call that they could not sell is the vehicle as too much rush had been found. We have never received the deposit back, and only got fobbed off when eventually got in contact with someone. Please do not be fooled by these cowards. Look els where no matter what the cost. These people should be put away

Avoid this company like plague. They are the worst in Uk specialised in ripping people off. I bought a car from them that was so bad that MOT company declared it a fire hazard and when I took it back they refused to give me back all the money so I took them to court. And after all that, when they came to collect the car, they tried to give me less money. Avoid! Avoid! Avoid!

Bought a car off this Circus full of clowns, conmen, liars and cheats , we returned the car as legally they have to be given the chance to put the car right, car came back the same done nothing except mask the issues , an independent Inspection had to be carried out the inspector advise us not to drive the car, so bad the inspector wouldn't drive it, really don't know how this lot are still in business, don't return emails , phone calls , abusive and aggressive , no morals what so ever , allegedly the car had passed an MOT days before we collected it, dodgy to say the least, if you value your safety and that of your family , not to mention financial loss, don't go near, I thought this Industry had cleared out the low life scum , not entirely they are live and kicking here .

I bought a car from this dealership on a distance sale with a known fault which they claimed they'd repair before delivery. It arrived with the fault still showing. They'd also coated the underside in sealant, but they'd not bothered to do a proper job. They'd sprayed everything effectively scrapping the car. I called to have the car repaired.. two months later they still haven't collected for repair and are refusing a refund. Avoid.

On Friday the 1st of April my wife and I visited Bowden Cars to view a Nissan Pathfinder (purchase price £7,991). We had previously arranged this appointment with the salesman over the phone. Upon arrival we were advised we could inspect the vehicle. It was during this inspection we noticed a moderate level of corrosion to o the vehicle frame. We were unable to test drive the vehicle because the salesman said it had no MOT but that he would put a new MOT on it if we decided to go ahead. I brought up my concerns about the corrosion and the salesman said he would have it treated and sealed so we went ahead with a refundable deposit of £250. The salesman said if for any reason upon a test drive if we were dissatisfied with the vehicle we would be refunded our deposit. The day after I decided to do some research and discovered that the corrosion is a common fault with this vehicle and a very expensive one to fix. We also looked at the previous MOT’s online and found the corrosion mentioned as an advisory. We decided against taking the risk of purchasing the vehicle and called the salesman to let him know and to arrange our deposit being returned. As soon as I said I no longer wanted the vehicle, the salesman’s attitude changed and when I asked for our deposit back he hung up on me. I then called back and explained he had said that it was a refundable deposit and that we are well within our rights to change our minds less than 24hrs later, he hung up on again. Then my wife called him and she managed to get him to reluctantly agree to refund us (when he has time). Since then there has been no refund and my wife has messaged, he has become incredibly rude and is refusing to return our money. We have since read reviews online that show this salesman has done similar things to many other people in the recent months. We do not believe this man should be allowed to continue scamming people out of their hard earned money and he should be investigated.

I bought a Kia Sorrento from Bowden Cars Ltd in January 2020. I encountered a range of difficulties emanating from heavy under-car corrosion. This included the petrol tank and, as I discovered the axle as well. Bowden Cars showed the minimum interest in repairing the Car and, when the serious issues revealed themselves, refunding me. Their willingness to provide any Customer service related to the 3 month warranty that they had provided rather than the law of the land (Sale of Goods legislation) and even when they were presented with an independent assessment of the vehicle they refused to meet their obligations. They told me to "crack on" even when I threatened Court action. So that is what I did. Needless to say, I won in Court and I have now been part-reimbursed to the full extent of the law. Avoid this company at all costs.

This man is a scammer!! He is absolutely disgusting. We paid him a deposit for a car that he lied to us about. He said it was Hpi clear however it was involved in an accident and it was a write off. Not only that he had the mileage clocked back on it too. When we confronted him about this and asked for our money back he refused and lied saying it’s none refundable. When he was asking for the deposit money he was very nice with us.. promised us to deliver it and if we didn’t like it in person he would return the deposit and he also said you have 30 days to change your mind if you aren’t happy for whatever reason!! Now he has gone back on his words and robbed our money. We won’t be buying a car that we’ve been lied to about so that our money down the drain. Make sure she doesn’t scam you beware of sending him any money and do your own research as his words mean nothing but garbage

Avoid like the plague!!!!!! I bought a Dacia Duster from this place late last year & from the minute I drove it away it has caused nothing but problems. I hadn't even got it home before the dash board lit up like a Christmas tree, I rang Nigel & he was initially ok, I took it in & was told it was a sensor issue & they would order it & let me know once it was in. I never got that call & had to chase him, each time I was put off saying it would be 2 weeks before they could do it as they were busy, still they never contacted me. I tried again some weeks later & told him the car was undrivable & i would come & park it outside, he replied by saying that's fine but it will be 2 or 3 weeks before we can look at it, his tone was extremely rude & arrogant!!! customer services skills absolutely zero!! he also took great pleasure in telling me don't try getting a new one now as your warranty has run out & put "lol" on the end of the message as though he was really proud that his stalling tactics had worked & he has basically managed to swindle me out of £3000! that's what the car cost & let me tell you now its not even worth scrap value!!! I still have the texts that he send me which have been taken to trading standards!! I think this guy takes pleasure from the way he treats people!!! personally I wouldn't be able to sleep at night!! horrible little man! I have since taken the car to be independently checked & here is just a small snippet of what they found. 1. The car was sold to me as a 4x4 however the part that makes it a 4x4 has been removed, hence now it can only operate as a 2 wheel drive. 2. a hole in the exhaust 3. the car is basically rotted underneath 4. there is a part on the back that holds the car up that needs replacing, rotted, I was told this part can only be sourced from the dealers at a cost of over £300 5. faulty handbrake 6. engine management light keeps coming on 7. ball joints knackered 8. some problem with the drums on the front brakes!! The man at the garage that carried out the checks was shocked by the state of it. I could go on but I think this just about sums it up!!!!! I have dealt with some dodgy car sales people in my time but this guy tops the lot & then some!! They also lie & tell you the cars are serviced before pick up, I was told this car hadn't seen an oil change in years & there was no way it had been serviced!! I could tell this by the way it drove, I'm no expert on cars but it drove light rubbish from day one, felt like it was pulling I took me over 2 years to save the money to purchase this car & this guy just does not give a toss!!! I am appalled & sickened & its caused me nothing but stress since I bought it, I travel with my job & need a reliable car, I think its fair to say I have driven it only a handful of times since I got it!!!!!!! Honestly people, save yourself money & stress by looking elsewhere!! If anything this experience has taught me a valuable lesson in trust & I will never make the same mistakes again!!!!! I am currently now having to save to get another car.

Despicable, rude, ignorant, I could go on. This company sold my daughter a car knowing she needed reliable transport to get her to hospital on a daily basis for Cancer treatment. The new MOT supplied with the car omitted Advisories from the previous year resulting in immediate repairs to the suspension. A tyre was in the advisory but two tyres needed replacing, one was below the legal limit. When asked about the problems the reply was “Big deal”. Included with the purchase is a PDI and full service, the full service was not done, i.e. the fuel filter was last changed in 2018. I was assured that the Timing Belt had been changed but they won’t provide evidence, they also refuse to provide my signed copy of the purchase agreement. A full further inspection is being carried out and the MOT station has been reported to the DVSA Intelligence Unit for investigation.
