The whole process of dealing with this company, in particular the salesman Harry has been fraught with stress. Harry is a bully, a nasty piece of work. Avoid and save yourself stress and upset! Purchased a vehicle from them on 27/7 via distance sale, our own fault as if we'd have seen the car first we never would have bought it. We should have cancelled the deal the minute Harry upset me on the phone. No communication about the delivery process, downright rude over the phone, not easy to get hold of. When purchasing the car the windows were faulty, car wasn't clean and bad condition with dents and scratches even though described as a 'superbly well presented car'. Car came without service history and £200 knocked off until we received the service history, chased this time and time again and no one ever sent it after numerous promises that it would be sent, then suddenly they said they'd moved premises and lost it, even though I had in writing they would send it recorded delivery.
They finally agreed to me getting the car looked at by garage to fix window problem ( Harry said it was just a sealant issue when we told him about this at point of delivery so he clearly knew about the fault already so why send it with a fault?!) As this sounded simple we said we'd keep car but took it to a garage after they said they'd pay the £50 diagnostic fee to get it looked at and it turned out to be an electrical fault and two motors and regulators needed. I was stood outside waiting for my car with my 7 month daughter in 35 degrees heat waiting for someone to tell me how they would pay for the diagnostic fee and no one could sort it out over the phone so I eventually had to pay it myself and they told me they'd pay me back and never did. They said they'd send parts for the window to a garage nearby and pay for the work as they weren't happy with the quote the garage gave me for the work, again they never did this. They were shocked at how much the garage quoted as if this was my fault when I simply did what they told me to do and get it looked at by a garage! I rang every day and emailed but got no further along and nothing in writing. When we spoke to Harry again he said he wanted us to give the car back, which meant driving it 2 hours round trip back to Birmingham, the whole reason we got car delivered was to save the journey. If they just sold us a car without a fault or fixed the fault we wouldn't want to give it back. He's been a nasty man to deal with, he's defensive, rude, and just down right horrible. When I rang in the first instance before the car had been delivered asking what was happening and when the car would be delivered as I hadn't heard anything ( website states they pride themselves on customer service- this has been lacking the whole way through, the only time Harry was slightly friendly was when we first contacted him about purchasing the car) and had read some bad reviews online and was worried that I was being scammed and that bad things sometimes happen Harry proceeded to shout at me about how insulted he was I mentioned the bad reviews and how ' yes that's life bad things can happen' amongst other things he shouted at me and upset me. Should have cancelled it all there and then! And when the car arrived it had a letter for the previous owner in it so I contacted the ICO to ask how I should dispose of it and they told me to contact garage to tell them they were in breach of GDPR and to decide how to handle it with their GDPR protocol in house, Harry told my partner I had threatend to prosecute which I simply did not do, I was just telling them what I'd been told! This has been such a stressful, horrible experience, rather than the enjoyable experience we should have had buying our first family car. I then got the AA involved as they were supposed to have signed a dealership promise with them. They told the AA they'd give me the £50, and send the service history, but it was supposedly lost as I've mentioned. Then the engine light came on so I couldn't drive the car safely, emailed and called them about this and no reply. They then told the AA they would contact me to arrange them collecting the car and giving me a refund, a week passed and no one contacted me and I was without a car so unable to get around anywhere! Then they finally got in touch and said they were going away and would collect the car and give my car back 11 days later, 11 days came and then in the morning suddenly the person who was meant to be doing the swap had to go to Poland for a funeral so couldn't come anymore ( I had a funeral that day I couldn't make because I was without a car and asked them to swap over in the morning so I could go to it in the afternoon so I didn't get to go to this) and then they tell me they've sold my car and they'll collect the car on Monday and give me a refund after they inspect the car. If they knew 11 days prior that they were swapping the cars over, and my car had been taken down from the website ( I thought because they were giving it back to me but I guess it had sold already?!) why didn't they put my car aside and off the market ready to give back?! I could have sold my car privately for more money than they gave me if they returned it as promised. Because they have continually lied to us we felt this would be a stupid thing to agree to as if they took the car away there was no guarantee we'd get our money back, we'd be without a vehicle and money so we are keeping the car and getting an obudsman to try and help us. Their attitude and behaviour is disgusting, I've seen plenty reviews of similar things happening to people, wish I trusted my instinct when I first saw the bad reviews. They should be shut down and not be allowed to run their business any further. If you do buy a car from them do not make the mistake of not going to view the vehicle first, but frankly I'd say look elsewhere and save yourself a headache. I am utterly disgusted by how everything has been dealt with by Harry and this company. They lied about giving me the service history so we have a car now without service history, told me they'd pay me for tax and diagnosis fee, told me they'd send parts and pay for repair, said they'd collect and swap my car and give me a refund...everything they've told me they haven't followed through with. They held back £200 of the sale of the car until we had service history, now when I've asked for my £80 back again they've said they held back £200 so don't owe me £80 but the £200 was until they sent us service history which they never did. We've not had a single apology, the worst customer service I've ever had. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!! I bet they'll write a nasty, defensive response back to this as they've done to other bad reviews, but I want to raise awareness of this company so no one falls into the same trap.
