Leaving some positive comments for this company as I was quite impressed with the vehicle that they sold me. I had a budget of 2K and purchased a 56 plate car with only 52000 miles on the clock! Full MOT with no advisories and the car came with 3 months warranty and breakdown cover. So far the car has performed brilliantly and hasn't missed a beat! This company is cheaper than most of the big garages around as my 2K would not get me anything like the car I bought from this company, the others were much more expensive for the same spec car. Nice chap who dealt with me, not pushy at all. Only negative point is he would not budge on his price (not even a little) I tried every trick in the book to get some discount but he would have let me walk rather than reduce his price! Although this said, the car was much better value than anything else I had seen.

Alison Hyde I am leaving nice feedback for this company as they helped me buy a really good cheap car. I bought a Ford KA for £795 and it is a little gem. I am very happy with the car as it seems to be pretty reliable and everything works within the car. The person selling the car was very helpful, did not rush me and explained everything about the engine and the car that I did not understand. Obviously I have no hesitation in recommending the company to others and think it only fair that I leave positive comments as too many people only leave comments when they are unhappy. Highly recommended car sales outlet. Alison Hyde

RESPONSE FROM PETER HOPKINS CARS LTD FOR COMMENTS LEFT BY: MS SADIE HIGHAM. We are very disappointed by the comments left by Sadie as not only did we bend over backwoods to help this lady but we also paid the transportation cost of getting the vehicle back to our garage. We always want to fully inspect any car that comes back to us and after a repair. We repaired Sadie’s car when it came back and no other faults where present when we put the car on a diagnostic. We asked Sadie to let us know if the car developed any further faults but unfortunately she opted to vent her frustration on this website rather than giving us a chance to rectify any further problems. The car had absolutely no problems with the coolant or spark plugs, we found out at a later date that one of the window washer plastic nozzles had come off the bonnet and as a consequence water was leaking onto the engine when it rained. Throughout the process dealing with Sadie we were always polite as we are to all customers and as helpful as we can be but, it is obvious that Sadie became frustrated and has vented that frustration out on us. If you read this message Sadie please let us know if we can be of any further assistance as it is not our policy to simply fob customers off. PETER HOPKINS CARS LTD

I brought an 06 ford focus from this dealer who wasn't the most friendly or helpful from the start. 2 days after getting the car home the exhaust went on it. 2 weeks later it started to misfire. I was covered under warranty but as I live 40 miles away i asked a fully qualified mechanic to have a look to give me a quote as it may have been cheaper for me to get it fixed than transport the car 40 miles! I was told that the spark plug well was filling with coolant and was quite an expensive job so I called peter and told him what I was advised he told me that having someone else look at the car would void my warranty! he was quite rude. but after a lengthy argument he agreed if I got the car to him his garage would fix it but he wouldn't listen to what my mechanic had said was wrong with it as he said his mechanic would fix it. all his mechanic did was change spark plugs which stopped the misfiring for couple of weeks but he didn't fix the cause. now I'm left forking out 300 ish to get this fixed. he accused me of washing the engine and wasn't even slightly interested in what was actually wrong with it. he is a rude arrogant man and would not recommend him at all because if you do have any problems he won't be helpful or fix the issue just fob you off until warranty ended!!

Not many garages around that sell good quality motors that are also cheap! I only had a £1000 to spend. This outlet only keeps around 15 cars at one time but it was not difficult to pick a car that would do me for now. From what I could see although cheap, they are pretty good quality. I bought a Ford Focus for £995, excellent car and it has not let me down. No over the top sales people the chap running the place "Peter" just let me view the car by myself until I was ready for a test drive. I would go back again and would recommend to others as you will find a cheap car if you are on a budget like I was.

I just wanted to take a minute to rate my experience at Peter Hopkins Cars Ltd. As you can see I gave them 5 stars. Buying a car was a very smooth process from beginning to end. I really appreciated them working with me to find a cheap car. Thank you for not being pushy. I appreciated that they respected my budget, and didn't try to sell me anything above what I was willing to spend. The service I received was friendly - from them and I am very happy with the Fiat Punto that I purchased for £795. Nice little "No frills" car that gets me to work every day! Thanks again for all your help! I will recommend your company to colleagues. John Peacock

Bought a nice little car from these guys, no pressure selling. They do not have a huge amount of stock (15 cars went I went to view) but most of them are around £1000 or less and all seemed to be tidy, cheap motors. You need to make an appointment to view as they are not always at the site and they don't discount prices at all. The cars have a price on them and you either pay the price being asked or you don't get the car. Don't let this put you off though, as said they have some really clean, inexpensive cars for sale and the one I bought is a great little car for what I paid! Thumbs up!

Don't normally leave feedback or reviews however, I cannot resist on this occasion as I just read the comments left by someone called Sophie C. I don't know what her problem was but her comments do not genuinely represent this company as I have purchased 2 cars from them in the past and I know at least one mate who also got a car from them. I bought 1 for my wife and one for my 17 year old son. Both cars where cheap, reliable and very good value for money. One of them had a problem with an auxiliary belt! Three weeks after buying the first car (the belt was making a hell of a noise) called Peter, told him the problem and he had it fixed at his own expense. Because of this, I purchased a second car from them. It seems to me that the lady who left the less than flattering comments did not give them a chance to rectify whatever problem she was having or it is simply a case of good old fashioned sour grapes. It costs nothing to ask a company to sort out a problem and I am guessing that Sophie C did not give them a chance to help her with whatever problem she had. A very satisfied Martin Mansfield

Single mum on a limited budget! My old Vauxhall Corsa failed its MOT and would have cost me more to put right than the car was worth. Only had £800 to spend on a replacement car. Bought an 04 Nissan Micra from Peter Hopkins cars which had 90000 miles on the clock and 8 months MOT. The main reason for buying this vehicle was because I was told (by my Dad) that "The Micra did not have a cam-belt but had a timing chain." I liked the idea of not having to spend more on a cam-belt change. The car was very nice, a few scratches, etc but not bad at all. After driving the car for 2 weeks the timing chain gave up and needed replaced! I called the company (Peter Hopkins cars) and even though the car was bought "Sold as seen" they had no hesitation in telling me to take the car to the garage that they use. I dropped the car in the garage at 9.30am on a Tuesday morning and got the car back at 4pm fully repaired! Peter Hopkins cars paid the bill which the garage told me was over £300. This is an extremely good service and needless to say, I am very happy with the result. I would definitely recommend this company to friends, they are honest and don't mess you around. The cars they sell are cheap but,,, "Honest, genuine budget cars" and as said, they really looked after me better than any car dealer has ever done in the past.

Stay clear of this dealer! Untrustworthy and unreliable. Sells unfit cars with no remorse.
