Absolutely appalling we bought a car cash from Them and within 1 month thought the gearbox was on way out as every now and then gears would not engage took it back they kept it for day road tested it said nothing wrong after another week same again so got my mechanic to look at it he has told us clutch on the way out so got written report and went back to them after a lengthy conversation with one of the very rude after sales women we were told the manager would ring us it's now been another week no phone calls do not use this company by any means

I would like to preface by saying all the staff I encountered at the trade centre were absolutely wonderful and I wish I could give them a five star review. The trade centre website itself states there are cars starting at 4999 and 5999. Walking around today the lowest price was 7499. I think the trade centre as a whole need to look at their website and not give people the wrong idea.

Having purchased our car last year, we have had to come back again and again to arrange for various repairs to be carried out. Each time, a new excuse is given and the same old happens, they haven’t done it because a mechanic has been glued to his phone or work has overran again and again. Avoid the place like the plague, but from a proper dealership or show room. I’ve included some pictures from the service department room to save you sitting in there waiting for nothing like I have had to endure. They’re more than happy to take your money but don’t want to do anything to rectify faults on the vehicle that a decent dealer or garage would happily do under warranty. The MOT is due soon, I can’t wait to see what that will pull up!

CAR BROKE DOWN AFTER 8 DAYS - CASE NOT RESOLVED OVER 5 MONTHS LATER This company is an absolute joke. Do not use them under any circumstances. Terrible service. Absolute crooks who brazenly breach consumer rights. My partner and I purchased a vehicle from Trade Centre Coventry in early July, which broke down 8 days after purchase. I write this in December, having had nothing but problems with the vehicle and the extremely unhelpful Trade Centre staff. We returned the vehicle upon the first breakdown. The Trade Centre firstly refused to issue a refund, insisting they inspected the vehicle first. This took over 5 weeks, leaving us without transport with no offer of a courtesy car. In the meantime, we wrote to the Trade Centre head Office to lodge a formal complaint, which was ignored entirely by the company. They claimed they could not find a fault, again refused to refund us, and we took our faulty car home again after an extremely unhelpful conversion with the condescending branch manager, who like the rest of the staff we encountered, showed no compassion towards us or our situation. I note that on collection of the car, the waiting room was full of other people with broken down vehicles purchased from the Trade Centre. Between late August and mid-November, the car broke down on 3 further occasions, and so the car was returned to The Trade Centre a second time. They again refused to refund us, kept our vehicle for inspection a second time, and again claimed they couldn’t find the issue - despite us providing various reports from the AA to support our claim. They did however find some separate issues, which they so far refused to fix. They now expect me to collect and take home an unreliable car which clearly had a fault when we purchased it. Dealing with them has cost us so much time, stress, and money over the last 5 months, and we are still not closer to resolving the issue. I will be sure to provide an update with the resolution of this case, which I am sure at this point will end in court proceedings.

PLEASE DO NOT PURSHASE A CAR FROM HERE !!!!! DO NOT SIGN ANY DOCUMENT WITHOUT ASKING THEM TO VERBALLY TELL YOU THE CONTEXT OF IT . My Husband and I purchased a car with The Trade-Centre Coventry beginning September 2023. The finance was approved and we took the car home. Within 2-3 days of driving the car we noticed a lot of issues. LIGHTS ON THE DASHBOARD ; SPEEDING ISSUES; STEERING WHEEL etcc.... We contacted the after care department ( customer service ) to inform them of our wishes to exercise our 14 days cooling off period under the consumer right act . Firstly , we called for 2 days straight and no one would answer the phone . We then decided to drive there and present them with the issue . On getting there , we were told they needed to inspect the car first before going through the procedure of cancelling . They had no emergency appointments and gave us an appointment 1 month 2 weeks after purchasing the car . During this time we had also contacted our finance company to inform them we wish to reject the car and made it clear to them both on calls and writing that we do not wish for the car to be repaired under our names . Fast forward to the day of our appointment , My husband was at work and I had gone to drop the car as per the appointment for the car to be inspected before moving forward. On getting there , i was presented with a piece of paper to sign . The lady at the reception made no mention of the context of this paper but only said that i should sign it to book the car in for inspection . After signing this , my wife asked the lady when they will contact us and Blue motor with the results of the diagnostic test . To her surprise the lady said they will have to fix the car first and then will let her know to come and pick it up . My wife was confused as it was very clear since the beginning of this complaint that we are rejecting the car , therefore she could not have agreed for it to be fixed . Adding to this , my husband is the legal car owner and not my wife , therefore her signature should not have been asked . We verbally told them that we are not agreeing for the car to be fixed but the lady refused and said the document has already been filed when it was still i front of her . During this whole process , we requested for a curtesy car while they conduct the diagnotic test but to our surprise they refused . We got a call a week after dropping the car with the result of the test. We were told the car will need to go through a lot of changes including ( new steering etccc) . This was supposedly a new car .....why is it already disturbing this much was our question to them ? Now we are 2 months and a few weeks into the complaint and we are getting told we can't exercise our consumer right even though we had put the comlaint in within the 14 days period . As of now , we do not have a car and we are still expected to pay monthyly for both the finance and the warranty for a car we do not have. The trade-centre are refusing to exchange the car to one that works fine. IF ANYONE HAS EXPERIENCED THIS I CAN OFFER US EXTRA HELP ......PLEASE CONTACT US . DO NOT PURCHASE ANY CAR FROM THIS PLACE , ESPECIALLY ON FINANCE . We will involve a lawyer and take this further ...... we are also going to post reviews on all their social media platform .

It’s all true! Do not buy! PLEASE THINK LONG AND HARD BEFORE BUYING FROM THIS COMPANY, no one will do anything to help once you have purchased. I brought my car on 23rd May from Coventry Store, I had a warning light come on after 6 days, the aftercare so far has been shocking, if buying a car from The Trade Centre lets hope you don't need it to be repaired. My warning light came on advising my car will stop not start after 300 miles (I use my car for work and will use this mileage in less than a week) they advised they are full and cannot fit me in until July. They do not offer emergency appointments and will not give me a timeframe if I was to leave my car there, meaning I would have no car for work. There was another person at the Customer Service Centre and she advised she has come to get an update on her car, she handed her car in 2 months ago and they are still looking at it for her, she was told like I was a courtesy car is not available (after 2 months and still no courtesy car!) I asked if I could reject the car (return and refund as I only had it a week prior to car issue), they advised the process for this would be....they seize my car and wait for an available slot to come up (July) to access the car and if a fault is agreed that cannot be fixed they will process a rejection (Either way I will have no car for work for over a month because they cannot resolve my issue in a timely manner! I also added lifetime warranty (£50 a month) to cover me due to using my car for work, however they do not cover the first 28 days so they will not help with a suitable appointment to fixed the issue, I was advised to drive the car until the engine is seized (300 miles) and when I break down it will be covered with the AA recovery under the warranty, but again... the lifetime warranty company advised they would collect the car and recover it to The Trade Centre! so I am still in the same situation. Alarmingly the company seem to be fine with me driving this vehicle on motorways with potentially having my family inside at a huge risk of the engine seizing, I have taken advise from Jaguar and they strongly recommend not to drive this to the engine seizing as this will no doubt cause further damage. I was also told when I purchased that the checks had been completed on my car and this included an oil/filter change, after having my car checked and calling them back they confirm the oil/filter had not been changed so have booked me in for July to complete this - my point on this is that if I hadn't have had my car checked I would have assumed all was completed like they advised me, they lied about this so what else are they covering up. I will be happy to update this review, if and when the relevant action is taken to rectify the car in a timely manner by The Trade Centre and I would welcome a call from the CEO/Managing Director to discuss the unsatisfactory level of customer service that is offered once the company have my money. I will also be taking this further to all your Social Networks along with The Motor Ombudsman (themotorombudsman.org) Trading Standards (tradingstandards.uk) and What Car (whatcar.com) Date of experience: 31 May 2023

Absolute worst encounter I have ever experienced!!! I saw a few 2018 Toyota Aygo's on their website advertised for £4999 and enquired on this. Had a call from CanCan who said they would have similar at my closest branch which was Coventry. Made an appointment for 9.00 Saturday and made the almost 2 hour trip there. When we started looking, everything was double the price advertised on website! I very reluctantly decided on a car that was 4 years older and £3000 more! Never believe what you see on their website!!! Now the fun starts, more lies than I have ever heard in my entire life, too many to mention here. I asked Robbie the "Sales Manager" if it had full service history, to which he replied "yes" and flashed his iPad at me. I asked to take it for a test drive to which he responded only once the finance is approved! Anyway, get finance sorted and they hand me the service book - last serviced in 2016!!!! Robbie & Emilio then tell me that they had carried out a minor service and oil change. Look at the check list and surprise, surprise, not done!!! They then tell me that they have lost one of the keys on site. I explain that it was sold with 2 keys and that is what I want. Emilio then says "if we find it we'll send it to you". So i ask him what if you don't find it, to which his response was tough luck!!!! I couldn't believe what I was hearing. Anyway, eventually they decide to pay for a key, which I had to go and organise at a locksmith!!! What I was told and as per their advertising, a one hour deal turned into a 6 hour unpleasant ordeal with 4 hours of travel. They then want me to return, waste anther day to have the oil changed!!! Having spent 30 years in the motor trade as Dealer Principal, Aftersales Manager and having run MOT sites, I had a quick once over om the car the following morning. Dipstick was below the minimum mark, wheel nuts are so rusty not sure if they will come off easily, front brakes need replacing - discs badly scored, pitted and rusted - probable MOT failure, front and rear wipers smearing BADLY, all tyres were different pressures and very under inflated + badly cracked due to age, listening to rear brakes sound like they need replacing. I am awaiting a booking at a local garage to check it over properly and have a feeling this will be going straight the Ombudsman. When I eventually managed to get to “Customer Care” to report the issues, they conveniently gave me a booking date to have the issues investigated AFTER their 28 day warranty expires. Utter bunch of sharks – and this is how the motor trade gets it’s bad reputation.

Would love to be able to give 0 stars really nice and quick when they want your money but the complete opposite when it comes to after care! Waited 5 months for 1 problem to be sorted, no communication what so ever, emails get ignored and constant lies over the phone, when the problem was finally booked in to be fixed i was told i would be on the list to get a courtesy car only to get to the branch and be told there isnt a list so i wouldn't of been told that! Shocking after care would recommend everyone to stay far away
