On to my second car now from whitley bay motors, both times have been an enjoyable experience, very friendly and helpful. Was initially recommended by a friend and have even sold my parents a car. Will certainly be buying the next one in a couple of years from here

I put a deposit down on a ford fiesta over the phone Whitley bay motors told me they would M.O.T the vehicle and I was told when I went to view the vehicle if I wasn't happy with it I would get my deposit returned to me . After a long train journey I arrived to view and test drive the car . I was told over the phone days previously the car had passed the M.O.T it had a new tyre fitted and an advisory on a break pipe , but Whitley Bay motors assured me most cars get advisorys on brake pipes ? ? . When I arrived to inspect the car I was shocked all four of the brake pipes were badly corroded , the car had two oil leaks which they had obviously attempted to cover up with copper grease for some reason , the exhaust had a hole in the back box . I asked to see the advisory certificate , all four brake pipes were noted on the advisory aswell as two other things I had overlooked . One tyre had been replaced as I was informed but the front drivers side tyre had a big chunk missing from it , they had try to cover this over by painting it black ! . The other thing on the advisory was the drivers seat did not tilt forward ( the vehicle was a two door ) so I went to check it and not only did it not tilt forward the lever actually came off in my hand , I have been.told by my local garage that this should be an M.O.T failure as passengers in the rear of the car need to be able to exit the vehicle from both sides in the event of an accident . When questioned Whitley Bay motors about the condition of the vehicle they became very irrate all the friendliness previously shown soon disappeared. After an hour of asking for my deposit back they reluctantly refunded me . The car was not safe they Wete prepared to.let me drive over 110 miles home in a car with corroded brake pipes, an oil leak and a big chunk missing from the tyre . I ended up having to catch two trains home , a wasted journey I would seriously reconsider if you were thinking of purchasing a car from Whitley Bay motors.

We have purchased a BMW 5 series E60 2007 from this dealer. We paid deposit so they told as to come back after 2 days to pick up the car so they have enough time to DO MOT on this car and there was a problem with rear tyre it shows flat tyre on the display. After we come back and paid the full price and went behind the gate starts a nightmare. After 4 days I took the car to independent garage for check up and the they find out the outside temperature sensor is not working (even better the whole wire was missing). Then driver side inner track rod end was completely worn. So I call Whitley dealer and arranged the visit to sort this out because the should not pasty the MOT with this failure. So when I some back to them I spend nearly 8 hours sitting on the sofa and what I got back? They could not fixed the temperature sensor because they did not know how to do it. The steering wheel was turn in to position 30 degrees to the left after they fixed the inner track rod end ( which I find out later they never changed this what it suppose to be done. When I asked them to put the steering wheel back to position I left my car with them they said thy busy now and asked me to come back next week (which the distance to travel was 150 km one way. And the said they will call me back to arrange next visit.(They never called me back until now , which is 8 weeks gone). So I was very pissed about that and I took the car to ATS to sort out the problem which cost me £55. I have changed the track rod ends outer and inner one on my own expence. But this did not resolved the problem because the further investigation proved the car was hit in the driver side inclusive wheel so the rack steering with shaft on is damaged after the accident. So far I have spend £400 on this car. Therefore anyone who would like to buy a car from WHITLEY BAY MOTORS, before u pay make sure you arranged the vehicle inspection with independent garage or service. Could be expensive but will be worth it. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND WHITLEY BAY MOTORS EVEN TO MY WORST ENEMY. COMPLETELY DISSAPOINTED.

Spent 12K on an Audi A4 2.0TDI and it had a fault with the clutch. They insisted I take the car back to them even though they are 300 miles away so I did. No offer of a courtesy car so had to hire one. After 2 days they said the car was ready so I picked it up. All seemed fine until after 7 months and the same fault gradually re-occured.. They have now washed there hands of it even though it is obvious to me they just bodged the repair to get rid of me and keep costs down! Very poor service and customer care!
