Fans have once again flocked to the support of the legendary F1 broadcaster

Martin Brundle’s Gridwalk is a highlight of an F1 weekend for many and they’ve caused the odd moment of controversy over the years.

Whether it’s Kimi Raikkonen missing a Pele speech because he nipped to the loo or *checks notes* Megan Thee Stallion, ignoring a Brundle interview request before a scraggly kid with an attitude problem tried to put the former racer in his place.

The latter of those incidents encouraged F1 to informally adopt a new policy where celebrities should agree to be interviewed if they take up a VIP grid pass. That policy was put into question over the weekend when supermodel Cara Delevingne didn’t show too much kindness in refusing to answer a quick question on the race.

Interestingly, this writer seems to think it’s the second time Cara has blanked Brundle after she turned down the same request back in Monaco at least seven or eight years ago – but we can't find any evidence of that online. If you can remember that – let us know!
