It'll be no surprise to hear England’s Euro 2020 players have a remarkable fleet of fast, thrilling, and prestigious cars to play with. Ahead of tonight's crunch match against Germany, we take a look at what they live to drive...
Jordan Pickford
England's stopper is one of a few to have opted for the Lamborghini Urus. The Italian manufacturer's first SUV ‘merges the soul of a super sports car with the functionality of a sports-utility’ and has been a popular choice amongst pros since its launch. Jesse Lingard, Tammy Abraham and Phil Jones are just some of the household names that own one of these £160,000 beasts.
The Urus has a 4.0 litre, V8, turbocharged engine that produces 650 PS and 850 Nm of torque meaning it can get to 62 mph in just 3.6 seconds before reaching its peak of 190 mph.
Harry Kane
Captain Harry Kane appears to be a fan of all things British - and who can blame him? The striker is a particular fan of his Jaguar F-Pace. ‘I love that Jag, it is not too big, not too small, and it fits our little daughter and the dogs. It's a family car that has a sporty edge’. We agree Harry!
Kane also has a Range Rover Autobiography which is his comfortable lounge on wheels. ‘After a game or training you just want to get in a nice car and chill’, he said. He added that he sometimes turns on the seat massage function while waiting in traffic. And, naturally, the footballer has a sports car for when he fancies a little more fun - a Bentley Continental Supersport.
Raheem Sterling
Raheem Sterling often gets an undeserved bad press both for his one and off-field activity and as a result, it may surprise you to hear he's rocked up to Man City's training ground on numerous occasions in a Smart Fortwo. The micromachine would be far from the imagination if you were to take all of those Daily Mail articles at face value - but Sterling undoubtedly has a different personality to what is sometimes portrayed and the Smart Fortwo, a small, low cost, city car that has natural charm is testament to that.
The England forward has fancy cars too. Highlights include the Mercedes-Benz G Class, Bentley Continental GT, and Mercedes-Benz GLE. What a range.
Marcus Rashford
Marcus Rashford can cruise to football matches in supreme comfort in his stunning Mercedes-Benz S-Class. This is a no-compromise luxury saloon that is arguably one of the best cars in the world. It takes a lot of beating. The England forward has other prestigious vehicles, too. They include the Range Rover Velar, Audi RS4, and a Mercedes-Benz CLA 45 Coupe. Not a bad mix!
