We’re all used to app-based private hire cars by now, aren’t we? Uber has been operating in the UK for 8 whole years! The ability to summon a ride from your mobile phone is something we’ve all quickly adopted and the service, by and large, tends to be satisfactory. Well, what if you want a bit more? That’s where ‘Havn’ come in.

Havn pitches itself as a ‘premium chauffeur service’ which boasts a massive fleet of Jaguar I-PACEs situated all around London. They offer ‘first-class hospitality’ and a customer approval rating of 4.8 out of 5 stars. Each ride can be tailored in advance so you, the user, can get things just how you’d like. You control the music, the temperature and even how much interaction you’d like from your driver. The app launched back in March following an 18,000-mile trial phase and we’re really excited about what this sustainable mobility solution could offer.

Jaguar I-PACE

The app exclusively uses Jaguar I-PACEs. The luxurious performance SUVs are the perfect solution for luxury private chauffeuring. The cabin of an I-PACE is very well insulated and of course, there is no unwanted engine noise. The cabin itself is absolutely stunning and built with really high-quality materials, as we have come to expect from Jaguar.

The whole platform can only exist because of the exceptional mileage achievable from the I-PACE. When tested to WLTP standards, the I-PACE is able to achieve a massive 292 miles (470 km) of range from a single charge. This means that in the tight streets of London the I-PACE can just keep going and going.

Joseph Seal-Driver, Managing Director of Havn, said: “The decision to use the all-electric Jaguar I-PACE, the 2019 World Car of the Year, allows us to offer our customers a sustainable premium alternative – urban mobility with zero emissions.

“In just four months we have proved there is a significant appetite from customers who want sustainable transport without compromising on luxury, we’re seeing a fantastic response from businesses who want to improve their corporate travel.”

Havn have been backed by InMotion, which Jaguar’s venture capital and mobility services firm. It’s another step for Jaguar Land Rover in their Destination Zero incentive which is a long-term investment into a future with zero emissions, zero accidents and zero congestion.

Alternatively, if you want to know more about the Jaguar I-PACE, why not launch an enquiry with your local Jaguar dealership? The I-PACE won World Car of the Year 2019, World Car Design of the Year 2019 and World Green Car of the Year 2019. The I-PACE starts from £64,495 - which some may consider expensive, but you’ve got to remember this is a premium vehicle with exceptional performance and you’ll be saving a considerable amount of money throughout ownership when compared to a non-electric alternative.

So, what are you waiting for? Order a brochure and book a test drive today if you think the I-PACE could be the next EV for you...
