Kia has unveiled a bold new four-seat GT concept, the Vision Meta Turismo, created to mark the brand’s 80th anniversary and hint at the next phase of its design direction.
Revealed in Korea, the car takes Kia’s Opposites United styling in a sharper, more futuristic direction. Low, angular and focused on the driver, it doesn’t resemble any current Kia model. However, its size suggests it could preview a future EV7 or EV8, slotting between the EV6 and EV9.
The concept echoes the spirit of the much-loved Kia Stinger, a niche performance saloon that ended production in 2022. Kia’s president, Ho-sung Song, recently said halo models still matter to the brand and confirmed that a successor is being explored. It’s unclear if the Vision Meta Turismo represents that idea, as Kia is emphasising its design-first approach rather than production intent.
From the outside, the Vision Meta Turismo follows the fastback GT formula seen on cars like the Polestar 5 and Lotus Emeya. Its long, sweeping roofline prioritises aerodynamics, while the front end introduces a new look for Kia, moving away from the long-standing Tiger Nose grille. The slim, sharply angled lights sit on muscular front haunches that also house the rear-view cameras.
The car uses a cab-forward layout, similar to the Jaguar I-Pace, with the windscreen pushed far forward to maximise cabin space. A multi-section panoramic roof leads into a squared-off rear end featuring an integrated spoiler, contrasting diffuser and a fresh take on Kia’s recent tail-light signatures.
Inside, the concept is deliberately futuristic. The minimalist cabin replaces traditional controls with full-width 3D and holographic displays, a yoke-style steering device and a side-mounted joystick, though Kia hasn’t explained its purpose. Pedals remain, suggesting the concept isn’t exploring full autonomy.
Kia says more details are on the way, but there’s no confirmation yet of whether the Vision Meta Turismo will appear outside Korea.
