The Mazda MX-5 has broken a world record and entered the Guinness Book of Records. On September 18th 2010, 459 officially recognised vehicles formed the longest continuous Mazda MX-5 parade of all times, breaking the former world record of 249 vehicles.
Jeff Guyton, President and CEO Mazda Motor Europe said "over 600 Mazda MX-5 owners applied to take part; so many that we didn't have room for them all because of technical reasons. The event, the parade, the many visitors, the Mazda MX-5 showed today why it's still the world's best selling roadster."
The new Mazda MX-5 is better than the older models in terms of quality and refinement, the interior is much improved with some nice new shapes and everything has a feeling of quality engineering. There is a surprising amount of space available in the Mazda MX-5 thanks to some clever attention of detail on the part of the design team. There is plenty of cubby storage action available in the cabin together with a decent boot even when the hood is stowed.
