Euro NCAP five star cars: list of the safest cars in UK

Regit reveals the safest cars in UK: all with five star Euro NCAP ratings

Euro NCAP ratings explained

Euro NCAP has given a maximum five star safety rating to a wide range of cars since 2020, when it introduced its current test procedure. They include small family models, large off-roaders, and executive vehicles. To be rated, a car has to be crash tested to see how it protects anyone inside and as well as other road users such as cyclists and pedestrians. It then receives an overall star rating from one to five.

A Euro NCAP overall star rating includes individual category percentage scores. The Adult Occupant score reveals how well a vehicle protects adults travelling inside. The other categories include Child Occupant and Vulnerable Road Users. The latter considers how effectively the car looks after pedestrians and cyclists. Safety Assist refers to systems that ‘support safe driving and mitigate accidents’ such as automatic emergency brakes.
