Seat has secured an exclusive two year contract to supply Seat Ibiza’s to the newly launched What Car? Driving School. Andy Mitchell, What Car? Driving School Sales and Marketing Director, said: ‘We had a very demanding requirement for cars that tick all the obvious boxes of reliability, quality, safety and economy. However we also wanted to factor in our instructors’ and learners’ requirements for style and ‘kerbside appeal’ and that, crucially, is where the Seat Ibiza stands out.’
The Seat Ibiza is a handsome yet slightly unusual hatchback that stands out. The entry level Seat Ibiza S includes a height and reach adjustable drivers seat, electric front windows, remote control locking and a six speaker CD player with steering column mounted controls and AUX input for your iPod.
Driver front passenger and two layers of side airbags are standard on the Seat Ibiza as are anti lock brakes. It is economical since all the engines have a healthy fuel economy and insurance brackets are sensible; if low road tax is required choose the diesel.
Seat UK’s National Fleet Sales Manager Sally Livingstone negotiated the 250-car agreement. She said: ‘The opportunity to support this impressive new venture by one of the UK’s premier motoring brands is a fantastic coup for Seat. I am sure the school’s network of instructors, and their pupils will be delighted with their Seat Ibiza experience and I look forward to seeing these distinctive cars appearing across the country.’
