Jaguar Land Rover: Software Issue in Electric Power Inverter Converter
Jaguar Land Rover is recalling 31,183 vehicles, including the Range Rover Evoque, Land Rover Discovery Sport, and Jaguar E-Pace, built between October 2021 and July 2025.
The recall addresses a software fault in the Electric Power Inverter Converter (EPIC). In affected vehicles, if the high-voltage battery runs low while driving in electric mode, the engine might fail to restart automatically. This could cause the vehicle to lose power without warning.
To fix the issue, Jaguar Land Rover will update the software on the EPIC and related modules. An over-the-air update will also be available, allowing many owners to complete the update remotely without visiting a dealership.
MINI: Windscreen Wiper Wiring Fault
MINI is recalling 10,780 three- and five-door Hatch models over a potential wiring harness issue.
In some cars, the windscreen wiper wiring may have been routed incorrectly, putting it at risk of damage from contact with the wiper mechanism. This could cause the wipers to stop working.
Dealers will inspect and, if necessary, re-route the wiring harness. Any damaged wires will be repaired, and the control unit replaced if required.
Peugeot: Emissions Software Update
Peugeot is recalling 4,158 vehicles - including the 208, 2008, 308, 3008, 508, and 5008 models - built between October 2016 and October 2022.
The recall concerns the engine’s emissions control software. A fault in the system may prevent the Malfunction Indicator Light (MIL) from turning on when there’s a problem with the Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) or Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) systems. This means the car may not meet emissions standards.
Peugeot will update the Engine Control Unit (ECU) software to ensure full compliance with emissions regulations.

What is a vehicle recall?
A DVSA safety recall occurs when a vehicle manufacturer or the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency identifies a potential safety risk or technical defect.
The issue can range from minor faults like wiper failures to major safety concerns such as airbag malfunctions. In all cases, owners are contacted and asked to have the car inspected and repaired free of charge usually at their nearest dealership.
