If you’ve got a spare six figures plus sitting in your bank and fancy getting your hands on highly collectable and sought after sports cars – this could be your lucky day.
One petrol-head is about to part with a huge selection of 86 cars, 44 of which are some of the most desirable Porsches ever built.
RM Sotheby’s, which is holding the auction, is expecting the sale to fetch around £20million - and every single one is being sold without reserve.
The first half of the two-part sale will be held in Switzerland with the second in Italy and cars going under the hammer include a stunning 1973 Porsche 911 Carrera RS 2.7 Touring, which is offered in its beautiful original colours of yellow over black, and is estimated to go for just over £400,000.
A second 1973 911 Carrera RS 2.7 Touring is also up for sale, this time finished in factory-spec tangerine and Recaro racing seats, which will go for around £360,000.
Also on offer in the Swiss sale is a pair of 1963 356s, Porsche’s first-ever production model, and the extremely rare Carrera 2 ‘Sunroof’ coupé version.
A 1995 Porsche 911 GT2 Evolution - the highest-performance version of the air-cooled era of the 911 – is also going under the hammer is again expected to make £400,000-plus.
There are also three BMW Z8 Roadsters, two Alpina V8 Roadsters, six 911 Speedsters of different eras, three 911 S’s, three 356s, two 2.7 RS Tourings, three 911 Turbos, and four GT3 RSs from different generations.
The second sale in Italy features a 1959 Porsche 356 A Carrera 1600 GT Coupé by Reutter that should make £435,000 while a 1997 Porsche 911 Turbo S prototype will collect an estimated £350,000.
The Italian sale features a total of six 911 Ss, four 356s, four Porsche 911 Targas, and seven 911 Turbos.
