Ford Tourneo & Transit Connect get fashionable, tough, off-road styling and ingenious off-road features (for 2020).

Ford Tourneo & Transit Connect Active: New SUV Styling For 2020

Love to be fashionable? Crave adventure? Want more from your vehicle? If so, the Ford Tourneo Connect Active might be your perfect companion. Why? Because this people mover has extra features that guarantee it stands out. Alternately, the Ford Transit Connect Active – a practical and spacious van – shares these extras. Both therefore excel on and off the road, help you create the right impression, and are good fun. Let us consider why.

Styling

The Ford Tourneo Connect Active (and its sibling) share robust, off-road styling that commands attention. Highlights include plastic cladding which protects the paintwork while you explore off-road tracks or load essential supplies. It is on the body panels, mirror caps, wheel arches, and rear bumpers. The front and rear skid plates further enhance the off-road feel. Further expect:

  • 17” alloy wheels (5 spoke, polished metal, dark inserts)
  • large mesh grilles
  • Active badges on the front wings
  • eye catching colours (Sedona Orange and Solar Silver).

The Ford Tourneo Connect Active and Transit Connect Active share further benefits. Roof rails make it easy to transport bikes, canoes, building materials, and tools, for example. And there is more to smile about as you climb aboard. The exclusive seat pattern, contrasting blue inserts, and ‘Active’ branding ensure it.

Off-road extras

The Tourneo and Transit Connect Active also share features that help them over tricky off-road terrain. Highlights include the limited slip differential which transfers engine power to the wheels that have most traction. Alongside optimised traction control, this makes it easier to conquer slippery gravel tracks, grassy campsites, and snow. High clearance makes life easier, too.

Furthermore, you can choose other features that best complement your lifestyle and workload. For example, choose either the:

  • 1.5 litre EcoBlue diesel engine (100PS or 120PS)
  • 8-speed auto or 6-speed manual transmission
  • 5 or 7 seats (Tourneo)
  • 2.9m³ or 3.6m³ load volume (Transit).

Ford Commercial Vehicles Manager, Hans Schep, summarised the benefits. He said: ‘Active models are a hit with drivers who need to venture off the beaten track and look good as they do it. It does not matter whether it is for business or pleasure, Tourneo and Transit Connect Active models have the flexibility and capability to support customers with a sense of adventure’, Mr Schep revealed.

Prices and availability

Ford confirmed that deliveries of these fashionable new vehicles are likely to start toward the end of 2020. Prices start from only:

  • £21,285 + VAT - Tourneo Connect Active
  • £21,675 + VAT - Transit Connect Active.
