The Kia EV6 is the new, fully electric, crossover vehicle you buy with your head – and heart. It's quick and its styling is like nothing we've seen from Kia before. We've taken a look in detail here:

Styling

The Kia EV6 looks purposeful and robust. Strengths include the bulging bonnet that suggests it is powerful, flush door handles that optimise aerodynamic efficiency, and the curvy rear lights that span the width of the vehicle. It is beautifully proportioned.

The interior is stylish, too. Immediately obvious is the large, curvy, high-resolution display that spans half the width of the dashboard. From here, you can operate the Sat-Nav, climate control and countless other systems. Naturally, the display also incorporates key instruments such as your speedometer.

Power, drive, battery, charge time

The Kia is available in three forms: EV6 (base), EV6 GT-line (sporty), and EV6 GT (high performance). Each has its own features and options so you can pick what suits your lifestyle. For example:

  • drive configuration: rear-wheel drive (via a single electric motor), or all-wheel drive for superior traction (two motors)
  • power: 170PS to 585PS (350Nm to 740Nm torque)
  • 0 to 60 mph: 3.5 to 6.2 seconds
  • battery: 58kWh or 77.4kWh (up to 316 miles per-charge)
  • charge time: 10% to 80% in 18 minutes (800V fast charger).

Remote control parking

The Kia EV6 has impressive technology to make driving safer, easier, and more relaxing. Remote Smart Parking Assist is among the highlights. Maybe you want to park the car in a garage, for example. However, whereas there is space to park there is not enough space to open the door to get out. No problem! Simply park by the garage, get out the car, then steer it in from your key fob.

Further features

The Kia EV6 has other handy features. It has a secondary boot in the front, for example. Capacity is 52 litres (rear-wheel drive variants) or 20 litres (all-wheel). The rear boot adds a further 520 litres. Also, the seat fabric is made from recycled plastic, the vehicle cannot emit any pollutants, and it has head-up display.

Price and availability

The Kia EV6 can be ‘pre-reserved’ now and deliveries start from October 2021 in the UK, the manufacturer said. However, the GT trim is not available until 2022. Prices range from £40,895 to £58,295.
