2025 Nissan revamp: The Leaf and Micra go electric with bold new designs and tech

Nissan 2025: A sneak peek at the exciting new models coming your way

Nissan’s got some major updates lined up for 2025, and they’re seriously exciting. The Leaf and Micra are both getting major overhauls, marking a big step in the brand’s push toward electrification.

Both cars will hit key segments in Europe, offering competitive prices and plenty of cool tech. The new Leaf is expected to draw inspiration from the 2021 Chill-Out concept, transforming into a sleek crossover. Think smooth lines, an arched roof, and a gloss black rear panel for some added style.

Inside, the Leaf will take a lot from the Ariya, Nissan’s larger electric model, with updates to the layout and display. It’ll be built on the same CMF-EV platform as the Ariya, with battery options ranging from 66 to 91 kWh and power up to 394 PS. Expect a better range than the current 186 miles. Arriving in mid-2025, the Leaf will be built in the UK, priced between £31,000 and £33,000.

Meanwhile, the Micra is going electric too, sharing a platform with the Renault 5 E-Tech. The new Micra will feature bold oval headlights, compact lines, and will measure around 4 meters long, 1.8 meters wide, and 1.5 meters high. Battery options will likely include 40 kWh and 52 kWh versions, offering ranges up to 250 miles, with a price tag around £21,000 to £23,000.
