Porsche reveals three Toy Story-inspired 911s ahead of charity auction

Porsche has unveiled three one-off versions of its iconic 911 sports car inspired by characters from the Toy Story films.

The bespoke models were revealed on the red carpet at the premiere of Toy Story 5 in Los Angeles and celebrate Woody, Buzz Lightyear and Jessie. They have been created by Porsche's Sonderwunsch division, the company's specialist department that builds highly personalised and one-off vehicles for customers.

The project continues a partnership between Porsche and Pixar that began in 2022. As part of that collaboration, Porsche created a road-legal version of Sally Carrera from the Cars films. That unique model was later sold at auction for $3.6 million, with the proceeds going to charity.

Porsche now hopes these latest creations will raise even more when they are auctioned together in 2026. Money from the sale will support charities including Big Brothers Big Sisters of America, the American Red Cross and Starlight Children's Foundation.

Woody-inspired 911 Carrera T

The Woody-themed car is based on the Porsche 911 Carrera T, which starts from around £115,400 in the UK.

Rather than using vinyl wraps or stickers, every detail has been painted by hand. Porsche says each car required around 350 hours of craftsmanship to complete.

The blue exterior reflects Woody's denim jeans, with Porsche even pressing real denim fabric into the wet paint to recreate the texture. Coffee Black and gold accents represent his waistcoat and sheriff's badge, while red detailing references his neckerchief.

The custom alloy wheels have also been designed to resemble Woody's sheriff badge.

Inside, yellow leather trim features a stitched red checked pattern inspired by Woody's shirt. Brown leather throughout the cabin reflects his cowboy boots and hat, while illuminated door sills display his famous phrase: "Ride like the wind!"

Buzz Lightyear-inspired 911 GT3 RS

The Buzz Lightyear model uses the Porsche 911 GT3 RS as its starting point.

The GT3 RS is Porsche's most track-focused road-going 911, with extensive aerodynamic features designed to improve grip and stability at high speeds. This includes a large rear wing, which made it a natural choice for a design inspired by Buzz Lightyear's space suit.

This example also features Porsche's optional Weissach Package, a performance upgrade that reduces weight by using lightweight materials such as carbon fibre. In the UK, the package costs more than £19,000, taking the car's value to around £200,000 before personalisation.

The bonnet carries Buzz's name, while the Space Ranger logo sits ahead of the windscreen. Graphics inside the front air vents replicate the controls found on the character's space suit.

The interior continues the green and purple colour scheme, and the illuminated door sills display Buzz's well-known catchphrase: "To infinity and beyond!"

Jessie-inspired 911 Targa 4 GTS

The third model is based on the Porsche 911 Targa 4 GTS, which has a UK starting price of £154,400.

Its white paintwork reflects Jessie's shirt, while yellow trim beneath the windscreen is inspired by her blouse. The removable Targa roof has been finished to resemble her red cowboy hat.

Inside, denim upholstery references Jessie's jeans, while the floor mats feature a black-and-white cowhide pattern. The illuminated door sills display her trademark greeting: "Yee Haw!"

A continuation of Porsche's charity partnership

Although Porsche has not confirmed exactly when the three cars will be sold, they are expected to appear at an RM Sotheby's auction during Monterey Car Week in the United States in 2026.

Given the success of the Sally Carrera project, there is every chance this collection could achieve an even higher sale price, particularly as all three cars are unique.

Timo Resch, President and CEO of Porsche Cars North America, said the project was particularly meaningful because many adults who grew up watching the Toy Story films are now sharing them with their own children.

Bob Pauley, Production Designer at Pixar Animation Studios and the original designer of Buzz Lightyear, said the collaboration was a fitting way to celebrate the latest film while raising money for children's charities.

While these one-off 911s are unlikely ever to appear on UK roads, they demonstrate the level of craftsmanship Porsche can achieve through its Sonderwunsch programme. More importantly, the project uses some of the world's most desirable sports cars to generate significant funding for charities supporting children and families.
