Porsche has just dropped the most powerful 911 ever, the new Turbo S with a jaw-dropping 701hp on tap.
This beast runs Porsche’s new T-Hybrid tech, giving the twin-turbo powertrain more punch than any 911 since the model first landed back in 1963. In short: it’s the king of 911s.
Unveiled at the IAA Mobility show in Munich, Porsche calls the Turbo S the perfect mix of insane speed, everyday usability, and luxury comfort. Translation: it’s just as happy on the motorway as it is ripping up track days.
Of course, all that power comes at a price. The coupe starts at £199,100 while the Cabriolet begins at £209,100. Orders are open now if you’ve got the cash or a lottery ticket.
Why it matters
The reveal comes at a turbulent time for Porsche. 2024 and 2025 haven’t been kind with EV sales slumping, the Taycan struggling, tariffs hitting hard, and demand in China dropping. All this right after Porsche killed off the petrol Boxster after nearly 30 years. The Turbo S is arriving as Porsche’s big flex.
Design highlights
The new Turbo S has Porsche’s exclusive Turbonite styling touches from the badges and wheel designs to unique trim details. Add in a wider body, aggressive air intakes, titanium exhaust tips and fresh rear fascia, and you’ve got a car that screams presence. Inside, the theme continues with Turbonite seatbelts, stitching, steering wheel accents, and even the Sport Chrono stopwatch.
If you’re dropping £200k, Porsche will throw in rear seats for free on the coupe. The Cabriolet comes 2+2 by default.
Performance stats
This is where it gets serious.

- Nürburgring lap of 7:03.92, 14 seconds faster than the old Turbo S
- 85kg lighter than before, despite hybrid hardware
That performance comes from Porsche’s upgraded T-Hybrid system with dual eTurbos, an 8-speed PDK gearbox, and all-wheel drive. Brakes and tyres have also been beefed up, so it stops and corners as brutally as it accelerates. Porsche has even given it its own unique exhaust soundtrack.
Options
For those with even more money to spend, Porsche’s options list is wild. You can choose from over 100 exterior colours, exclusive carbon wheels, custom stitching and embossing inside, and even a Porsche Design watch to match your Turbo S, built by hand in Switzerland.
Vice President of the 911 line, Frank Moser, summed it up: “The 911 Turbo S is the most complete and versatile way to drive a Porsche 911.
"Whether in daily use, on long motorway drives or on the racetrack – we have been able to make the new 911 Turbo S even more comfortable, more individual and significantly faster than its predecessor."
