Revealed: The UK's most loved cars of 2023

In the latest annual Which? car survey, over 50,000 British motorists shared their experiences with various car models over the past year. 

The Toyota RAV4 Plug-in Hybrid (PHEV) emerged as the top-rated car, earning a commendable customer score of 95%. Owners praised its comfort, value, and hybrid capabilities, highlighting its exceptional fuel efficiency.

The Skoda Superb Estate secured the second spot with a 93% customer score, providing a more affordable option at just under £30,000.

Asian manufacturers dominated the top rankings, with Japanese and South Korean models making up the majority of the top five.

The Honda Jazz Crosstar hybrid and Kia's electric EV6 also received high praise, emphasising the positive experiences of owners with hybrid and electric vehicles.

The survey revealed a correlation between satisfaction and the reliability track records of car brands, with Asian manufacturers consistently outperforming their European counterparts.

Natalie Hitchins, the head of home products and services at Which?, highlighted the enthusiasm among drivers for partially electrified cars, urging the government and industry to facilitate a smooth transition to these models.
