The one-off Rolls-Royce Arcadia Droptail is a bespoke vehicle made for a super-wealthy client

World’s most expensive car presented to owner at lavish Singapore ceremony

A man who clearly has too much spare change has taken delivery of the world’s most expensive car, a unique Rolls-Royce Arcadia Droptail.

The bespoke car was made specifically for the client and features the most complex and intricate clock face ever assembled in Rolls-Royce history.

The clock face itself took five months to assemble after two years of development work.

Named Arcadia after the mythical ‘Heaven on Earth’ of Ancient Greek legend, the two-seater roadster also features special weather-proofed wood inlay sections that took over 8,000 hours to create.

The Arcadia is one of four Droptails that are all unique and are being specifically commissioned by the mega-rich.

The La Rose Noire Droptail Amethyst were both released last year while the fourth is yet to be showcased.

All of the Droptails have huge 22-inch wheels and are powered by 6.6-litre twin turbo V12 593bhp engine that would make Just Stop Oil wince.

For context, 593bhp is about the same as a Lamborghini Huracan and its linked to an 8-speed automatic gearbox that propels it from rest to 62mph in around five seconds.

It can reach an electronically limited top speed of 155mph if the driver has the nerve, or the stupidity, to push a £25m piece of art that hard.
